Mr. Harry Addicott returned to
Owen Sound on Monday after spend-

expects to sail on April 15th to start
the season on the ,Great Lakes.

of the late Roy Brown from a dis-

On Tuesday evening, March 22
the Mae Lane Auxiliary and Wo-
men's Missionary Society of North-
side Church held their Easter Thank -
offering in the schoolroom with a
splendid attendance. The President,
Miss Vera Mole, was in the chair,
Mrs. Roy Lawson, President of the
W. M. S. was on the platform. Mrs.
George Johnston, first vice, opened
the meeting with a poem entitled
"The Book of all Nations". The
hymn "Crown him with all crowns"
was sung, 'followed with prayer by
Mrs. B. Christie. The scripture les-
son, Psalm 23 was taken by Mrs. A.
Westcott, After singing "When 1
survey the wondrous Cross", Mrs.
Roy Lawson led in prayer. Miss Win-
nie Savauge and Mrs. Jas. Stewart
favoured With a piano duet and was
much enjoyed. -NIrs. A. J. Donald, of
St. John's manse, Stratford, gave a
splendid and inspiring address deal-
ing with the Christian home and
proved very instructive. Miss 'Rena
Fennell and Mrs. Hay ' ndvecl a
hearty vote of thanks to the speaker.
The closing hymn "In the, Cross'
was sung followed with the Mizpah
Benediction, A social hour was en-
joyed by all.
