United Church Annual Meeting
The annual meeting of the Hen-
sall United Church held on Monday
evening was well attended. A pot-
luck supper in charge of the Wo-
men's Association preceded the meet-
ing. Rev. R. A. Brook was chairman
and .Mr.` Jas. McAllister, secretary,
The devotional period was, conducted
by Rev. R. A. Brook assisted by
Rev. R. H. Sanderson. Reports from
the various organizations revealed a
very, successful. year. Rev. Brook in
his address expressed his pleasure
and deep gratitude for; the splendid
co-operation of officials, leaders,
and members of the congregation.
The reports were given as follows:
Young People's Society, 4Vliss Ber-
nice Jinks; Session, Mr. Wm. For-
rest; Sunday School, Mr. Jack Cor-
bett; Superintendent Baby Band and

Word has been received of the
death of Ml's. Margaret B. Walper,
80, at New Westminster, B.C., for-
merly Margaret Bell, second daugh-
ter
aughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew
Bell of Kippen. Following her mar-
riage to Louis Walper, she resided in
North Dakota; then in StanleY
Township and later on the old Whyte
farm at Rodgerville. Mrs. Walper
has been residing with her daughter
at the Coast since 1941. Surviving
are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Baer,
Victoria, B.C., and Mrs. A. W.
Brooks of New Westminster; one son
Walter B. of Port Colborne; five
grandchildren and two great grand-
children, a brother Andrew Bell,
Kippen; two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Sin-
clair, Kippen; and Mrs. (Rev.) John
Richardson, Millbank, Ont. Inter-
ment was in Fraser View Cemetery -
with Rev. T. D. Barnett, of Keary
St. United Church, officiating.

secretary. The Library is now serv-
ing seven schools in the township,
