Mrs. ,Richard Robinson was called
to ,her former home at Me'Gregor,
Man., owing to the serious illness of
her sister, Mrs. Bill Cooper..
Born -At Mrs. Farwell's nursing
home, -Zurich, on Sunday, Feb. 6th,
to Mr. and Mrs;Geo. Stephenson,
Parr line, Stanley, a daughter.
A veiny enjoyable evening was held
at S. S. No, 4 East Stanley on Fri-
day, Feb, 4, when the Twin Schools
'Farm' Forum' held a pot -luck supper.
There was a good attendance of
.members and friends including Mr.
and Mrs. Mark Drysdale and Mr.
and Mrs. George Hess of Hensall.
After a bountiful and delicious sup-
per the audience was favored with a
few musical numbers, followed by a
delightful program of moving pict-
ures given by Mr. Drysdale taken on
their trip last summer through the
Canadian West, to the Coast and
house by Chicago, one on the Royal
wedding and 'a short comic which de-
lighted the young folk. The proceeds
will 'go towards the buying of work
benches and most necessary tools for
manual training for both schools.

Mrs. Dave Millsoin.
Mrs. Nellie Gardiner of London and
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Miners of Sas-
katoon spent Thursday with Mrs. B. B.
Stephenson.
Mr. and Mrs. Ted Holden and fam-
ily of Elimville spent Sunday with
Mrs. Alfred Buchanan.
Mr. and "Mrs. Chas. Wakefield and
Bobby of London spent the week end
with Mr. and Mrs. Dave Millson, They
were called home Friday night when
the former's mother passed away.
Mr. Fred Wakefield returned to Lon-
don with them on Monday.
This coninmunity was shocked to
hear of the sudden death of Mr: Frank
McGregor of Harlock on Tuesday. The
sympathy of this neighborhood is
extended to Mrs, McGregor and
family.
School in the village is closed this
week owing to illness of the teacher
Mrs. Gray of Clinton.
Mrs. Fred Wakefield
Elizabeth Jane Lawes, wife of Ed-
win Wakefield, died at her late home
in Constance, Friday evening, Feb. 4.
Mrs. Wakefield had been in failing
health for the past couple of years,
but had been confined to bed for less
than a week, death conning rather
unexpectedly from a heart condition.
Mrs. Wakefield was born in England
67 years ago,, the only daughter of
the late. Joseph .Lawes and Sarah
Howard, In 1903 she was united in
marriage to Edwin W. Wakefield and
continued to live in Andover, Hants,
England, until 1914 when they emi-
grated to Constance to live with her
brother George Lawes. She has re-
sided in the .village of Constance
(Kiilburnv) for 35 years. Mrs. Wake-
field was a home -loving woman and
leaves to mourn her loss her husbands

The funeral took place on Monday
afternoon 'frons the G, A. Whitney
funeral home, Main St., Seaforth, and
was conducted by Rev. S. Brenton of
Constance United Church. Interment
was in Maitland Bank Cemetery, Pall
bearers were six neighbors of the
family, Joseph Riley, 'Frank Riley,
Robt. Gnimoldby, Howard Armstrong,
Leo Stephenson and Frank Phillips.

WINTHROP
The death occurred in Scott
Memorial Hospital on Saturday
about 7:45 p.rn. of a,well known and
highly esteemed resident of McKil-
lop Township, John S. Aitcheson. Mr.
Aitcheson suffered a stroke on Dec,
23, and was taken to the hospital
where he remained until his death.
He was born in McKillop 73 years
ago and lived on the same farm all
Inc life. He was a member of Cavan
Church, Winthrop. He is survived by
one sister, Mrs. Donald Calder, Re-
gina, Sask., and three brothers, Alex
and Ford Aitcheson of Rosetown,
Sask., and James of McKillop town-
ship. One sister predeceased him in
1929. The funeral' was held on Tues-
day from the residence of his broth-
er, James Aitcheson, lot 30, con. 2,
,McKillop with interment' in Malt -
landbank cemetery.

No. 4 Square Fa1'm Forum met on
Monday evening at- the home of
Robs and firs. Campbell with 31
present. The topic was "Food in
Sales Clothing". A good discussion
period took place. The remainder of
the evening was silent playing bingo.
Lunch' was served. Monday evening,
Feb. 14th there will be films shown
at No. 4 school for the forum; every-
one is welcome, On.Feb. 21st the
meeting will be ]Held at the Home of
Leslie and Mrs. Puce,

The euchre and dance held in the
Hensall town hall sponsored 'by the
Kippen East Women's Institute was
a great success. Forty tables were in
play for the euchre. The winners
were, ladies, Mrs. Charles Eyre, first;
Mrs. George Smale, second; Mrs, W.
G. Bell, consolation. Miss Norma
Deitz, lone hands; Mrs. William
Glanville, lucky lunch ticket. For
gents, Mr. Herb Kercher, first; Mr.
Richard Taylor, Sr., second, Mr, Ro-
bert Taylor, consolation; Mr. Earl
Sproat, lone hands. Murdoch's Or-
chestra provided music for the dance.
The Institute is planning another in
