Beginning Nov. 22 and continuing during the period of bad weather in the winter months, Hensall School will have five minutes recess in the morning with noon dismissed at 11:50. Classes will be called again at, 1:10 and will have. a five minute recess again in the afternoon. Final dismissal will be at 3:30. Parents are asked to kindly co-operate. Mrs. R. M. Mrs. Hannah Jones and Mrs. Milton McCarter of Walkerton, spent the weekend with Mrs. D. Walks and Mr. and. Mrs. A. W. Kerslake. ' Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Neeb, Mrs. Woelfle and son of Tavistock, visit- ed at the home of the fornler's,son- in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William Brown. Mr. and 'Mrs. Earl Kerslake and Linda and Mr. W. Kerslake ' of St. Marys visited with Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Kerslake. Rev. R. H. and Mrs. Sanderson of Lumsden, Sask.. arrived at the Presbyterian manse on Saturday where they - intend spending the winter months , with their son-in-law and daughter, Rev. and Mrs. P. A. Ferguson. Mrs. Andrew Christie of Russel - dale visited recently at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lorne McNaughton. Evening Auxiliary Mrs. Wes Jones actedas hostess for the regular monthly meeting of the Evening Auxiliary on Monday night, Nov. 8. Mrs. J. Corbett assist- ed Mrs. Jones. Mrs. J. Corbett pre aided for the meeting which opened with singing the thence song and "Onward Christian Soldiers". Min- utes read, collection taken, Lord's Prayer repeated, roll call taken. The next item was the devotional period which was interestingly presented by Mrs. Dave Kyle. The hymn "Nearer my God to Thee" was sung. Final arrangements were made re the an- nual Auxiliary bazaar scheduled to be held in the United Church School room on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 20th at 3 o'clock. The following committees were appointed: Hoene baking, Edna Walsh, Mrs. W. Jones, Mrs, R. Drysdale, Mrs. A. Hyde, Mrs. L. Chapman. Produce: Mrs. M. Sanders, Mavis Spencer, Mrs. G. Broderick, Mrs. W. Smale, Mrs. Flynn, Mrs. Blackwell Mrs.. Dennison. Sewing and Knitting: Miss Ellis, Mary Good- will, Mrs. E. Shaddick, Mrs. B. Kyle, Mrs. D. Kyle, Mrs. Lillian Hyde. Candy: Mrs. J. Corbett, Mrs. C. Passmore, Mrs. M. Redden, Mrs. Mary Buchanan, Mrs. P. McNaugh- ton. The December meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. B. Kyle. Miss Ellis then reviewed the study book charters, Hymn "Take Time to be Holy" and prayer followed. The W.M S ..A Winthrop, met in the schoolroom of the church on Wednesday, Nov. 3,. During the afternoon two quilts were quilted. Mrs. Robt. McClure presided for the worship period. The theme of the meeting was "Thy Kingdom Come" The meeting open- ed with hymn '254. The scripture lesson Mark 1: 21-32 was read by Mrs. R. McClure. Mrs. R. Dodds led in prayer. The W.M.S. report was given by Mrs. H. Alexander. The roll call was answered by 30 ladies. The 3rd .chapter of the study book "Doct- ors Old and New" was discussed by Mrs. W. Church. The nominating committee to select the officers for 1940 are: Mrs. K. Beattie, Mrs. E. Hawley, Mrs. Les Pepper and Mrs. E Toll. The meeting closed with the Benediction. Lunch was served by Circle 4, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Hawley and Mr. and Mrs. Z. McSpadden spent Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. B. Mc- Spadden at Hepworth. Mr. and Mrs. James Forsyth of New Denver, B.C. and Mr. John Broadfoot, Tuekersmith, visited with Mr. and Mrs. John McClure. Mrs. Stanley Garnham of Seaforth entertained the ladies of Circle 4 of Caven, Winthrop, on Tuesday after- noon. During the afternoon a quilt was quilted for Miss Louise Case. A sumptuous lunch was servedby the hostess and ladies of the Circle. Mr. and Mrs. Zack McSpadden visited with their son Mr. Sam. Me- Spaddon and family at Burgessville last week. Mr. Ross Montgomery of Brant- ford spent the weekend at his home. Mr. and Ma's. John R. Adams and family of Kintail and Mr. and Mrs. W. A, McClure and little son of Harlock spent Sunday with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John McClure. Little Shirley Dolmage, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Dolmage had the misfortune to have her col- lar bone broken falling outof the car.
