Mrs. F. G. Bonthron who has been
confined to her room owing to illness

Store and has commenced his duties

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Parker and
family spent the weekend with Mr.

Mrs. Susan Workman of Kippen
risited recently with Mr. and Mrs.

Miss Grace Brock of London spent

The Institute of South Huron dis-
trict have chosen Citizenship Confer-
ences -Developing Community Enter-
prises- as one type of service for
the year. The meetings wi11 be held
at Exeter on November 4th and at
Seaforth on November 5th. This
tyre of meeting should be of inter-
est and benefit to all Institute mem-
bers and to non-members of the
community. Please plan to attend
success.

Miss Violet McClymont has ac-
cepted a position at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. A. W. E. Hemphill and
commenced her duties there this
week.
Friends of Mr. Gordon Parker of
Exeter are pleased to hear he is im-
proving following his recent opera-
tion in St. Joseph Hospital, London.

ing following her recent illness.

a double ring ceremony uniting. in
marriage Marjorie Corsina, second
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie
Richard, Exeter, and Mr. Lou Turner
Bailey, only son, of Mr. and- Mrs.
Ralph Bailey, Exeter. Traditional
wedding music was played by the
bride's aunt, Mrs. W. E. Gardiner,
Meaford, and the bridegroom's uncle,
Mr, E. A. Collings, of London, was
soloist. The bride entered the church
on the arm of her father, She wore
a white slipper satin gown with ba-
teau neckline. The bouffant skirt in
tunic effect extended into a train.
Her full-length veil was held in place
by a lace halo caught at the sides
with orange blossoms. She wore a
single strand of pearls and a gold
bracelet worn by her grandmother,
Mrs. Parsons, on her wedding day,
and carried a sweetheart cascade of
Better Times roses and gardenias.
Miss Alma Richard was her sister's
maid of honor, wearing an identical
gown of aqua silk taffeta and carry-
ing bronze mums and Talisman
roses. Miss Maida Richard and Miss
Sheila Bailey, as bridesmaids, were

Beauty silk taffeta. They carried
colonial fans of roses and mums in
contrasting shades of yellow and
white, All. attendants wore mittens
and half hats trimmed with ostrich
plumes to match their gowns. The
bridegroom was attended by his cou-
sin, Mr. Gerald Moffat, of Kippen,
and ushers were Mr. Allan Richard,
brother of the bride,'and Mr. Rich-
ard Watson. Following the ceremony
a reception was held in the church
parlors. For a wedding trip to Chi-
cago and Jamesville, Wisconsin, the
bride changed to a navy blue Eng-
lish gabardine suit with which she
wore a Victoria wine hat and top-
coat with navy accessories and a cor-
sage of gardenias, Mr. and Mrs.
Bailey will reside in Seaforth.
SPORTS
Men's Senior 'A' .
The Chesley Blue Bombers down-
ed the Seaforth Bosharts five to two
in the second game of the Chesley-
Seaforth series. This win put Ches-
ley out in front by two games to
none.
Kennedy, for the locals, struck
out four and allowed five free pas-
ses. Somers, for Chesley, struck out
five and walked one of the Boshart
batters.
The only home run of the game
was brought in by Bill Smith in the
eighth inning with Mulford on base
.with a single.

In the third game of this series
Seaforth came back into the battle
end defeated the Chesley Blue Boin-
bers,by a one run margin. The final
score of this real thriller was' Sea-
forth Bosharts 6, Chesley. 5. This
game web played before a record
crowd at the Chesley park on Friday
afternoon.
Seaforth brought in two runs in
the first to start off the game. In
the fourth inning Seaforth brought
in one run while Chesley got two.
During the last half of the fifth
Chesley collected three rune to take
thelead.'
