The Grocery business conducted by the -late
R. J. Sproat will continue to serve the people
in Seaforth and district, in the same manner
as it has for the past forty years. It will be
operated by Mrs. R. J. Sproat, who will

daughters are on a holiday trip this

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tamblyn
spent the week end with friends at
Oshawa and took in the exhibition
at Toronto on Monday.
Mrs. Elgin Josling has returned
home after spending the past two
weeks in Clinton hospital where she
underwent a serious operation. We
are glad to know she is greatly im-
proved in health.

of Niagara Falls are spending part
of their holidays at the home of his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Fingland

After considerable research and investigation, the Sea-
1'i)rt`l Branch of the Canadian Legion has compiled a list of
of those 1'i' nn Seaforth and vicinity who gave their lives
fit t� ..-p'1d i'"a.r II, with a view to having such names inscribed on
the War Memorial in Victoria Park.
While it is believed the list as compiled is complete and
accurate, the public and particularly the next of kin of such
service personnel, is requested to examine it carefully and to
advise the undersigned of any errors, omissions or in-
accuracies.
For the information of the public, the list is reproduced
hereunder. Unless advice to the contrary is received by Sep-
tember 15th, it will be assumed the list is complete and accur-
ate in every respect, and action will then be taken to have the
names inscribed on the Monument in the manner as shown
hereunder.

There passed away at the lionie of
his son at Walton on Sunday, August
22nd, Henry Clark, iu his 78th year,
He was a resident of Grey Township
all his life, and a member of. Duff's
Church, Walton, He leaves to,niourn,
his wife, the former Mary McCallum,
and one coli James; also two sisters
Mrs. Mern Ziegler, Brussels, ,Mrs.
John Williamsoti, Walton; three bro-
thers, Robert and John of Brussels,
Joseph of Spalding, Saskatchewan.
The funeral was held from Duff's
Church on Wednesday, August 25.
Rev, S. Kerr of Brussels officiated.
The pallbearers were Charles McKay,
Albert Clark, George Williamson, Wnr.
Ziegler, Vergel McCallum,' James
Broughton. The 'flower bearers were
Tolbert Clark, Melvin Hamilton, Rus-
sel McCallum, Andrew, George and
Duncan McNichol. Interment was in
Brussels cemetery.
