Mr. Kelly, Edmonton, a former accountant in the Dominion Bank here about the year 1911, called on friends in town last week. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Breen, and family, Toronto, spent the weekend with Mrs. J Pethick. Mr. and Mrs George McGavin and Miss Marion McGavin, Strat- ford, are holidaying at Grand Bend. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. McAlpine and sons, Harrow, visited last week with Mrs. M. McPhee. Mr. and Mrs. Reg. Hart and fami- ly, Toronto, spent the weekend with Mrs. R. B. Scott. Sunday., Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Stelnacker, Stanley, Harry and Joyce of Stratford spent the week end at the Home of Mr, and MPs. William Koehler. Mr. and Mrs. John Kechnie of Mit- chell visited on Sunday with Mrs. Charles Regele. Mr, Henry Hoegy of Grey was taken seriously ill on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Smyth and George of Mitchell, Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Feinster, Robert and Maurene, of Toronto visited Mr. and Mrs, Irvin Rock last week. Those who attended the funeral of the late Louis Becker at Preston on Wednesday last week were Mr. and Mrs. William Koehler and Morley, Mrs. Leslie Beuerman, Mrs. Dan Beuerman, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Eggert. Mr. and Mrs, Henry Wietersen re- cently visited friends in Tiverton and Kincardine. On Tuesday, August 3, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Beuerman celebrated their 25th (Silver) anniversary. Friends and relatives gathered in the evening to express their good wishes and pre- sented thein with a table and chair set, smoker and a table lamp. Mrs. Gordon Beuerman read the address, about 200 being present. Dancing to the McQuaid orchestra. Lunch was served.
