NIr. Hugh Westlake, an employee
at the C.N.R. Round House, in Sa-
skatoon,

with his parents Ml'. and Mrs: Arn-
old Westlake.
Mrs. Fred Kaiser, Miss Jean Car-
ling, Mrs. Margaret Eastman and
son Bob of Toronto, visited recently
with Mr. and Mrs. John E. McEwen.

The Scott Memorial Hospital desires to inform the public
of ..the new scale of rates which take effect ,immediately.
For the information of the public the old as well as the
new rates are given.

The following regulations regarding visitors and visiting
hours are now in effect and the public are requestedto
observe the same.
A. Visiting Hours:
GENERAL WARDS—
Daily from 2 to 4 P.M. and from 7 to 8 P.M.
PEDIATRIC (CHILDREN'S) WARD —
Daily from 2 to 4 P.M. only
SEMI -PRIVATE WARDS—
Daily'from 2 to 4.30 P.M. and from 7 to 9 P.M.
PRIVATE ROOMS —
Daily from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M.
B. No visitors under 15 years of age are allowed in the
pediatric (children's) or general wards.
C. No visitors except the mother of the husband, the
Inother.of the wife and husband of the patient are
allowed in the maternity department.
D. No employee of the hospital and no special nurse on
duty shall be permitted to visit any patient socially
except by permission of the Superintendent.

annual picnic of tire Hensall Insti-
tute members, guests and children.
The enthusiastic crowd enjoyed a
bounteous picnic supper. Mrs. A. 17.
Munn, vice-president, then presided
for a short business period, after the
singing of the Ode, the minutes
were read, collection taken. The
ever popular roll call "sing, say or
pay" was used; Mrs. Shortt, owing
to unavoidable absence, will receive
a lovely cup and saucer with ac-
companying address from the group.
A bank book and address will be
forwarded to Mrs. E. Chipchase for
her, infant son "William Ernest".
Mrs. Orr presented interesting com-
ments on the District Annual held
in Zurich. At the September'- meet-
ing, Mrs; Horton and Ml's. Normin-
ton are convenors,it takes the form
of a Pot -Luck supper. Roll call, the.
most embarrassing ;moment of my
life. Mrs.' Munn extended sincere
thanks to the social committee, Mrs.
Edwards, Mrs. Park, Mrs. McBeath,
also -to Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Orr
and to all who had contributed to
the outdoor event. An interesting
period of .gains followed under the
direction of Mrs. Brown and , Mrs.
Orr with following results: dropping
clothes pins in milk bottle, Mrs.
Munn; kicking slipper, Mrs. W.
Smale; calling 'husbandtodinner,
Mrs. F. Corbett; eating 'crackers—
whistling, Mrs. G. Bell.
.Mr. and Mrs. John Stewart left
this week for an extended trip to
Western Canada.
Rev. Wm. Weir, Mrs. Weir and,
family and Mrs., Weir Sr.,, of
Brampton, visited recently with Mr.
and Mrs. Jas. Paterson.
Miss Martha Heideman of Zurich
was a recent visitor with Mrs. Roy
:McLaren. ,

Toronto, Held at Goderich, June 23.

Mrs. Catharine Hedden of St.
Catharines, spent the weekend visit-
ing with relatives and friends here.
Miss Helen Moir of London, spent
the weekend holiday with Mr. and
Mrs. Melvin Moir and Mr. and Mrs.
Lawrence Baynham.
Mrs. Lee of London visited re-
cently 'with her sister and brother-
in-law Mr. and Mrs. George Thomp-

Guides Leaders' Training Camp

L.O.L. No. 1035 and visiting breth-
ren from Bayfield, Clinton and
Mitchell, at 7.30, the choir was as-
sisted by Mrs. E, Heard and Mrs.

Mr. and Mrs. Cudmore and little
son Paul, of Holrnesville, spent an
evening last week at the home of

F. Smith.

ing hi Detroit -with her aunt and

Kistner, spent a week in Stratford
visiting relatives.
Mrs. J. Koch of Tavistock visited
with Mr. and Mrs. John Jacob.
Rev. and Mrs. Schultz attended
the 70th anniversary of the Zurich
Lutheran Church last Monday even-
ing.
Congratulations are due Miss Bet
ty Jean Hinz. on receiving honors in
her singing examination. She is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dalton.
Hinz and pupil of Miss Maxine
Harper, Munro.
Miss Joy McNaughton of Willow
Grove, who teaches a class of 18,
pupils in Brodhagen in piano and
violin, passed another violin exam-
ination with First Class Honors.
Mr. and Mrs. Hail Doyle had a
successful sale here on Saturday
afternoon when they sold all their
household effects. Mr. and Mrs.
Doyle, Lynda and Sharon are mov-
ing
oving to Hamilton, after living here
for the past year and a half.

Town of Seaforth
All persons in the Municipality, owning or
harboring dogs must purchase 1948 licenses for
same on or before July 12th. 1948. Licenses will be
issued from the Treasurer's Office in the Town Hall,
or from the Tax Collector, J. Cummings.
After that date summonses through the . Court
will be issued to the owners or harborers'of dogs not
having licenses.
All dogs must wear license tags.
