Miss Mary Goodwin was hostess
at her home Wednesday evening to
about thirty friends and neighbors
for a miscellaneous in honor of Miss
Edna Sanridercotk, whose marriage
took place on Saturday. The bride

George T. Mickle, Rratetownn's
oldest businessman, celebrated his
birthdayJune 3rd,and holds the lis-
tinctive honor of having his entire
family living. The family consistingunder
of four children, nine grandchildren
and nine great grandchildren has

not been broken by any immediate
deaths. Both Mr. and Mrs. Mickle
are to excellent health and le, born
life to the fullest. Mr. Mickle, born
in Missouri in 1858, came to Ridge-

town in 1882. He taught school for a
short time at the Austin School in
Oxford Townhip. He was bookkeep-
e]• for almost 18 Years with Hagflm-
an and Jull. In 1900 he purchased
the grain elevator from the late
John Cochrane, and has- extended
that business into what is considered
o e the finest rain businesses in

South Western Ontario. In 1912 and
company extended to Hensall
later opened grain elevators in Kip-
