Helen Johnston conducted the meeting, opening with the sing- ing of a hymn, Ione Watson at the piano. The minutes were read. Study book was taken by 3 of the girls. Plans were made for the next meet- ing to be held in the Easter holidays. This meeting to take the form of a quilting with the mothers present. It was decided to hold a mother and daughter banquet at a later date and committee were appointed to make the 'arrangements. The meet- ing closed with taps. The rest of the afternoon was spent in working at the quilt blocks and afterward Mrs. Stevens served a delicious lunch. CONSTANCE Mr. George Hoggart spent the weekend in Toronto, going down with his cattle and returned on Mon- day night. The National Film Board will pre- sent pictures in Constance United Church, Thursday evening, March 25th at 8:30. A film on the royal tour in South Africa will be shown. Theregular meeting of the W.A. and W.M.S. was held in the base- ment of the church with the vice- pies„ Mrs, Lorne Lawson, presiding, opened by hymn 215 aiid :all -repeat- ed the Lord's Prayer, Minutes of last meeting were read and adopted. Moved by Mrs. Leo Stephenson, se- cended by Mrs. Earl' Lawson, that we give $25, to the Red Cross. Cards of thanks were read from Mrs. Lorne Lawson and the Dunlop fam- ily. Hymn 287 was sung, roll call was verses on Easter. Mrs. Ernest Adams gave an Easter reading and Mrs. Borth n Brown gave a paper on Easter. Duet by Mrs. Ethel Stephenson and Mrs. Leo Stephenson, accompanied by Mrs. Frank Riley, "Jesus is our Neigh- bor".
