The W,C.L.U. held an Elocution
contest in the schoolroom of the
Hensall United Church on Friday
evening when Rev. R. A. Brook ways
.chairman. Mrs. E. Geiger, president,
grave a brief address. The following
musical selections were given with
Miss Gladys Luker accompanist.
Vocal solo, Mary Ann Rennie, piano
solos, Marilyn Mousseau and Peggy
Rowcliffe; piano trio, Joanne John-
ston, Jean Lavender, Marilyn Mous-
seau; vocal duett, Mary Ann and
Jerry Rennie; duett, Eudora Hyde
and Marlene Pitskie; duett, Graham
Farquhar 'and Bill Lavender. Mrs.
Brook moved a vote of thanks to the
president, Mrs. E Geiger. Following

Miss Violet Hyde visited this week
at the home of her brother and sist-
er -iii -law, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey
Hyde, who celebrated their tenth
wedding anniversary.
A community family night was
bold in the Town hall, Hensall, Fri -
clay, sponsored by the Kippen East
Women's Institute, all members and
former 'members were invited. Four-
ty-three tables of euchre progressed.
