The main street takes form. Commercial buildings rise. When such a development occurs, the services of a bank are needed — to handle payrolls, to keep savings accounts and, as the town grows, to furnish bank credit for the needs of the community. This is a basic pattern in Canada's develop- ment. And part of it is the local bank manager, providing those, financial services which help Canadian men and women to win the rewards of modern enterprise and modern living.
