Reception For Newly Weds
The Town hall in Hensall was the
scene of a very large crowd on Fri-
day evening forthe reception for
Mr, and Mrs. Jim Campbell (nee
Gwen Cooper) who were married in
Toronto on Dec. 20th. The bride is
formerly of Kippen, eldest daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Cooper, while
the groom is the son .of Dr. and Mrs.
Campbell of Guelph, former prom-
inent veterinary of Hensall, At mid-
night the bride and groom were
called to the platform and Mr. Ed
Corbet read an address and -pre-
sented them with a pot of gold .(con-
taining money) Jim made a very
fitting reply. Music was furnished
by Murdock's orchestra.
Reception Service Held In St.
Andrew's United Church
Reception service was held in St,
Andrew's United Church here on
Sunday last when seventeen young
people joined the Church in pro-
fession of their faith, while five also
joined by certificate.

Twenty-five girls gathered at the
home of Mrs. George Baxter, Lon-
don, in honour of Miss Eileen JoT-
clan, a bride-to-be. The evening was
spent by playing games, after which
an address was read by Miss Mary
Russo and two little flower girls
presented Eileen with a flowery
basket of many lovely gifts. Eileen
thanked the girls with a few appro-
priate words and the evening ended
with lunch served by the hostess.
Miss Jordan was also the reci-
pient of a beautiful electric table
