THE LLONS CLUB.
The Lions Clubs of Goderich and
Seaforth in co-operation with the On-
tario Society for ripp e Children,
care. Accordingly, a clinic was ar-
ranged and held on Saturday, July 5,
at the Alexandra Marine General
Hospital, Goderich, and Dr. Robert-
son, Chief Surgeon of the Children's
Hospital,, Toronto. took charge of the
examinations; he is an eminent ortho-
pedic surgeon as well es skilled as a
clinician. Over thirty patients at-
tended the clinic and the parents of
these and also their family physicians
will receive notice of the condition of
the, patient and the suggested remedy,
either surgical or -medicinal

cal Association showed their interest
in this work by cooperating with Dr,
Robertson in the clinic and were pre-
sent to the number of 25. Tile Lions
of Goderich and Seaforth and the
members of the Heron 'Medical As-
sociation were present at a luncheon
at the Bedford- Muriel where address-
es were given by Chief McKay.

yor McEwen, Mr. Hopper of the On-
tario Society, and others.
The Clinic was entirely free to pa-
tients or parents whose means are
limited and the surgical staff of the
Children's Hospital, Toronto, is co-
operating with the Lions Clubs to
make the service as useful -as possible
to the profession throughout the
whole of Huron county. The Sea -
forth Lions have arranged to take
care of the cases in the Eastern half
of Huron, whose parents are not in a
position to meet the necessary cost.
In order to take care of this crippl-
ed children work the Seaforth Lions
witi require to raise funds and hope
to receive the support of all citizens
to make the Carnival. which will be
staged on August 21st, a great suc-
cess. Further particulars of the car-
nival will appear at a later date.

A. D. Sutherland of this town: "The

Seaforth, Ont., and for some years
was in the hardware business in Luck -
now. He came to Toronto in 1913 and
was associated with the Thomas Dav-
idson Manufacturing Co. When the
firm was absorbed in General Steel
Wares, Ltd., 'he became city traveller
for that company. He was en active
member and elder of Avenue Road
United Church and a worker in its
Sunday school. He was a member of
Bruce and Huron and Lucknow
ledges, A,F, & A.M. He was twice
married and is survived by his wife,
formerly Miss Enor A. Coon, one son,'
Chards of the first marriage; a bro-
ther, A. D. Sutherland, of Seaforth,
and two sisters, Mrs. William Murdie ,
of Lucknow and Miss Margaret Suth-1
erland of London, Ont."
