Miss Edith 'Siegel of Mitchell is in Scott Memorial Hospital in a very serious condition following an accid- ent just north df Walton on Sunday evening, when her .brother's car left th'e road in seme unknown nn,aanner. With both legs broken and suffering much from shock, her condition caus- ed anxiety until Wednesday when im- provetnent was noticed. Alt the oc- cupants of the car were brought to the hospital, ,Mr. Norman. Siegel of Stratford, driver of the car, suffering from 3 cuts on his forehead, ,Mrs Norman Siegel had to have her face sewed nip and had one arm 'injured. Miss Siegel's aunt, Mrs. Shea of Mit- chell, was badly cut. All of the latter were able to leave the hospital on Sunday night. The party had taken Miss Theresa Siegel,. elocgtjonist. of Calgary, to Brussels, where she gave a recital in the United Church on Sunday even- ing and an ententaitiment the follow- ing evening. A hatlowe'en frolic of a very num- erous nature was celebrated by the Young folk of Kippen 'United Church Monday evening. Costumes, unique, hunnoorus and many very pretty ones were to be seen. Rev. Mr. Conner -took all' contestants for a jaunt around and so all could see and guess wino the handsome -young lady was, . or the gallant young man. Many were, very hard to identify, and the church rang with laughter. After aft had been. fully identified, games, contests were indulged in, all entered into the sports heartily. Following this, a Hal- lowe'en social was very much enjoy- ed. 'At a hate hour all returned home feeling they had never spent a more jolty evening with the young folks. The C. G. (I.
