Mrs, Charles Swanson of Wingham.
The bride and bridegro5ont were at-
tended by Mr. and Mrs, Arthur Ney
of Sehringville. Immediately after the

motored to the home of the bride's
sister, Mrs, Arthur Ney, where a
wedding dinner was served. Mr. and

Death of Mrs. Combs. --Death cause
very suddenly and unexpectedly to a
beloved member of this community,
Mrs. Henry Combs, who returned
from the West only last week• Half

with her husband on Sunday after-
noon she was stricken with a paralytic
stroke; losing even the power of
speech until the following day but
retained consciousness until Monday
night. She passed away at 11 o'clocle
on Tuesday morning without rally-
ing. air. and Mrs, Combs left here
in June for Deloraine; Man., to visit
their family and arrived home again.

from her late residence, Drummond

will be made in Union cemetery,
Blyth. Formerly Caroline McKay,
site was born 65 years ago in the ex-
treme north of Scotland at John -0'
Groats and when she was quite young
the family came to Canada in 1871,
settling on a farm in Tttckersnith Tp.
at the id Red Tavern corner, a few
miles south of Seaforth. Some years
laterher parents moved to the 7th
line of Morris. In 1854 deceased went
to the West with three brothers near
where Deloraine now stands. A year
later she was married to Mr. Combs,
a former Blyth boy and remained
there until ten years ago, retiring to
Blyth.
She is survived by three brothers:
Will McKay, Victoria B.C.; Neil Mc-
Kay, Ceylon, Sack., Sandy, Edmon-
ton, Alta., and three sisters, Mrs.
Scott, Deloraine, Man., Mrs. Henry
Jackson, Blyth, and airs. Simmons,
Vancouver, B.C. A brother, Andrew,
of \Wollesley, Sask„ predeceased her
four years ago. Her husband, one.
:laughter, Miss Vesta Combs, at home
and four sans, William in Deloraine,
and John, Ira and Orval, farming
near there. To the family is extend-
ed the sympathy of the community in
which her sudden illness and death is
deeply felt. A former member of
the Presbyterian church and later of
the United Church, she was an active
worker.

of his parents, Mr. and Mrs, Harvey
Robinson.

his brother-in-law, Mr, Geo, Garniss

fortune to fall on the stairs and break

his foot while at work at Londtsboro,
which compelled hint to quit work.
Mr. and Mrs. Hutchison and little
daughter of Mount Forest were week-
end visitors with Mr. attd Mrs. T. H.

at berth morning and evening services
in the Queen et. united Church very
acceptably.
