After the rescue, Greg decided to go for a swim but ap- parently the exertion and excitement had been too much for him and he fell lifeless into the water, His body was recovered two hours later. This fine animal was 5 years old and weighed 1960 lbs, Good judges say that this was one of the best horses which has been shipped out of this dis- trict for years. The price was in the neighborhood of $250. The colt was in a different part of the same field from the baby beeves. Mr. Max Denome at Blake also lost a val- uable cow, which was struck by light- ning, The anniversary services at Blake Church on Sunday had very large at- tendance both morning and evening.
