wedding was solemnized on Monday,
August 5th at 9 a.m. at St, Patrick's
Church, Dublin when Evelyn, daugh-

Neil, san of Mrs. Edward O'Neil of
:Maidstone parish. Rev. Father 0'-
Drowski performed the ceremony. The
bridewas attired in coral georgette_
with velvet trimming and hat .to
match. She entered the church with
her father, who gave her in tnarriage..
She carried a shower bouquet of
roses and babies' wreath. Miss Helen
Delaney, as bridesmaid, wore a' dress
of peach georgette with ecru trim-
mings and hat to match. She carried
a bouquet of sweet -peas and maiden
hair feral. Mr. George Conyeau, of.
Flint, Michigan, was groomsman, Mr,
Frank MoQuaid, Stratford, and ,Mr,
Jim Galllagher, Striatinroy, acted as
ushers. After the ceremony, the brid-
al party and guests, numbering thirty-
five, returned to the home of . the
bride's parents where a dinner was
served. Later Mr, and Mrs. O'Neil
left on a motor trip to Niagara, Buf-
falo, Toronto and other eastettt•points.
The bride',s travelling costume was a
stun -tan ensemble with black velvet
hat. On their return Mr, and Mrs.
O'Neil will reside in Windsor.

HULLETT.
On Friday evening last the Com-
munity Hall in Lond'esboro was filled
with invited guests to witness a very
interesting, programin e which was
given by the children of 11r. and Mrs.
George (nee Sarah Pairservlce) of
Wetaslcawin, Alberta. The little girl,
:Miss Effie Jeati, eleven years of age
and Robert, seven, who are traiurd
dancers, entertained. the company for
around two hours with all sorts of
step dancing, also With short recita-
tions by Effie Jean and Robert, with
two readings by Miss Isabel Cum-
ning• of Blyth and a few musical sel-
ections on the violin by Master
George, accompanied by Miss Isabel'
George on the piano Their sister,
Miss Isabel, supplied the music on the
piano for thefirst till intermission, af-
ter which the Watt and Kirkby or-
chestra furnished the music for the
programme. The children int their
different 'costumes were certainly•
..
charming. The programme opened
by a short address from Ro'bert and
closed with a short address by Effie
Jean and singing of ltod Save the
King, Mr. James Fairservice acted
as chairman. Immediately after the
close of the programme the catnpany
'were invited to the basement, where a
first class lunch was served and mach
enjoyed by alt. Atter lunch a dance
was =eh enjoyed, the music being
supplied by Watt & Kirkby and by
Allen and Neilans, Before leaving for
home A. W. [eEwing moved a hear-
ty vote of thanks to the Fairservice
families, also to Mr. and Mrs. Daniel
Stevens, the 'hostesses of the evening;
and Mr. and Mrs. George and family,
also all those taking part in the even-:
hag's programme which was respond-
ed to 'by a very hearty elap of the
hands. Mrs. George made a stutable
reply. Mr. 'James Fairservice moved
a vote of thanks to the orchestras'
which was heartily responded to.
Lastly Mr. Kirkby favored the crowd
by a selection of the "Mocking Bird”
on the violin accompanied by 'Mrs.
Robert Watt, sister of Mr. Kirkby,
on the piano. A very enjoyable ev-
ening was spent, Mr, and Mrs, George
and family left for their home in At-
berta Monday.

\\ran. McQueen, a former resident of
Stanley, who was well known in
Brucefield and vicinity a number of
years ago.

premises. A separator is built to remove
weed seeds from grain and straw, See that
it does so. A11 sieves should be in shape to
do effective work, There should be a screen
in the lower deck to reinove'weed seeds before
they are blown into the straw.
Weed seeds should not be left to be carried
about by animals and the wind, nor should
they be swept into the barnyard. Destroy
them. Burning is effective.
