Greater Strength and durability

HE Ford Steel. Spoke (Drop Centre)
wheel is an advanced step in engineer•
ing and the result of exhaustive experimental
tests. It is smart in appearance, extra strong,
having a lasting finish, easy to clean and
provides a simple method for mounting and
demounting the tire without tools and in. a
fraction of the time previously required.
The steel rods or spokes, 1/4a in diameter, are elec-
trically welded
lec-tricallywelded to rim and hub shell. The finish is
enamel baked on steel. Possessing great resiliency
and being one solid piece, these wheels have a
sturdiness not approached by any other type.
The Ford wheel_ eliminates loose, squeaking spokes
and rims, pinched tubes, chipped or peeling finish,
necessity of tire flap, misalignmentof tires iue to
'carelessly mounted rims, and a host of other wheel
and tire ills formerly encountered. It permits of
easy steering and no drumming sound is created
by the wind.
There is an enormous amount of careful work.
necessary to build strength and service into the
Ford Steel Spoke wheel, and the results justify the
engineering study and skill devoted to this feature
of the Ford car.
