The February meeting of the Bar-
bara "Kirkman Y. W, Auxiliary of
First Presbyterian Church was held
on Tuesday, Feb. 26th at 8 p.m. with
a good attendance, the programme be-
ing prepared by Miss 'Belle Smith and
Miss Hattie Murray, Miss B. Smith
presiding, The meeting was opened
by singing a hymn, followed by :Hiss
Belle Campbell reading the Scripture
lesson. Miss H. Murray read the
Glad Tidings prayer. 'Airs, M. Mc-
Leod read the Cerrent Events, and
Miss Davidson, the Missionary rGlean=
ings. Mrs, 1. B. Keine led in prayer.
After this Miss -Belle Snaith took the
topic, "Formosa." and gave an en-
couraging report of the work carried
on there. After singing a hymn, the
meeting was closed by all repeating
the Lord's prayer in unison.
SPRING SHOW DATES.
The Directors of the Seaforth Ag-
ricultural 'Society at their meeting on
Wednesday decided' d to hold themr
'Spring 'Shote on Thursday, Manch
28th. The prize list was revised and
substantial increases made in the prize
stoney. The 'boys' judging competi-
tion will be held as usuai, open to
boys 18 years and under. The show
will 'be ;opened with a grand parade
of all the animals entered 'Tor competi-
tion at 1'30 p.m., headed by the Sea -
forth (Highlanders (Band', the judging
to commence at 2 p.m. sharp. Direc-
tor Robert Archibald, of Tuckers:mtih,
delegate to the'Pko'vmcia'l Convention
of 'fairs, gave a most interesting and
instructive report in detail with num-
erous
suggestions for the. improve-
ment Of the iF'all Fair in 'whichevery
citizen of the town and country
should 'be interested, The district
cincuit'of spring shows will 'be as fol-
lows: Mitchell, March 26th; Seaforth,
March 28th; ,Hensall, 'April 21251; and
Clinton, .April 4th, with a change of
Government judges at each show.

BUYS INTEREST IN
NAVIGATION COMPANY.
The Perron and Marsh Navigation
Company, of Temaganri, carried on by
Captain Marsh and 0. R. Perron, has
changed hands, Mr Marsh having
sold. his interest to J. R. S'proat, for-
merly of Seaforth, and the business
will now be carried on by Mr. Perron
and Mr. Sproat. .Captain and \'urs,
Marsh have been associated with Mr,
Perron in this business for seventeen
years and have successfully increased
it from a one boat transport to a fleet
of 'Fast launches ,and the fine large
steamer ".Belle of Temagami." This
has been ee known as one of the most
comfortable a n 1 accommodating
transportation systems in Northern
Ontario, and the new firer will en-
deavor to serve the public in the same
obliging manner.
CURLERS VISIT LONDON
On invitation four rinks of Seaforth
cutlers played in London cm Wednes-
day of this' week. A banquet at 6 p,tn.
was included in the peogvaanme for
the day. A return visit from London
is expected in the near future. The
