Mary Rebecca ("Becky") Bruce,
youngest daughter of Mr, and Mrs.
David Bruce of Cromarty, was united
in marriage to Mr. John Russell, eld-
est son of Mr. and Mrs, John Jack-
son, of Pe1ly, 'Sask. The bride was
daintily gowned in a' dress of blue
skies taffeta, wearing the groom's gift,
a white gold wrist' watch set with
diamonds and sapphires. After a
sumptuous dinner at Hotel Penansyl-
vania,-the bride and groom took the
boat for Nashua, an island across the
straits of Florida, where they will 'be
gone ,for four months. The bride tra-
veiled in a 'brown costume, her dress
being brown satin and coat of brown
vclebdoom trimmed with mink fur,
with hat and shoes to match. For
the past four years the bride has been
employed with the American Radia-
tor Company in Detroit, and the staff
presented her with a magnificent
three-piece jewellery set, bracelet,
brooch and necklace to match. The
many friends of the bride will join in
extending congratulations.

the way of fruit bearing hos been
made by a Jerusalem cherry ,plant, be-
longing to Mrs; C. Anderson, which'
bears 44 red cherries, As the plant
is less than ten inches in height
it is almost covered by the cherries,
which are as Targe as ordinary cher-
ries. They remain fall and red from
this time until Christmas.

liam H. Knox a short time ago had
the misfortune to have two of his
Fingers badly lacerated while work-
ing with the windmill, but glad to
