Death of Mr. George Dickson. -- There passed away -on Friday last, . kugust 24th, 1928, at his late resi- 8ence, lot 25, con. 14, of the Town- ship of MoKillop, Mr. George Dick- son, in his sixtieth year, after a ling- -:zing illness, which he bore with great fortitude and resignation, to the Will of Him who guides and directs .a11 things well. Mr. Dickson was corn on the neighboring homestead Ind resided all his life in the imnted- :ate locality. Ile was the youngest son of eight children, seven sons and ;,ne daughter, the family of the at John and Mrs. Dickson, who were so . greatly reverenced in the large circle n the corntnunity in which they lived. apart from his business as a farmer, -Aft% Dickson was a great admirer as well as a judge of good horses and spent much of his time in the !buying end handling of these animals. Two sisters and one brother also survive: Mrs. Wm: Forbes, Lis- towel; Mrs. Harry Dennis, Walton, and Samuel Forbes, Walton, The late Mrs. Forbes was a lifelong member of the Anglican Church. The funeral was held on August 24th froin her son-in-law's residence, service "being held at 2 o'clock. Rev.. J. M. Nicol, pastor of Knox Presbyterian Church, conducted the service. Charlie Munn, son, of Mr. and Mrs, Alex. Munn, is spending a week with friends in Fergus. Mr, Albert Clarke left last Thurs- day for the West, We are glad to hear that Mr. Cecil' Gotland, of Fergus, who underwent an operation for appendicitis in the hospital last Tuesday, is improving. Mrs. Gowland was formerly Miss Cora Forbes, daughter of W, S. Forbes, Walton, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Forbes left Fri- day for Fergus, Mr. -and Mrs. James Coutts have gone to the West to visit relatives. Mrs. Armour 'Dundas and daughters' have returned to 'Detroit, after spend- ing a very pleasant holiday with the 1..rnter's parents, Mr. and Mrs .\rchie. Clarke and other friends. At the vestry meeting held in the 'Temperance Hall on Feb- ruary 1st, 1878, it was decided to' build' a church ansi to call it Trinity Church. A lot was bought from the Blyth Estate for $50.00. The contract was let to Mr. Robert Howard at $37- 200. The corner stone was laid on July 1st, 1878, -by the D. D. G. M, of the A. F. & r\.
