event on Wednesday, August l.st,.
o'clock, the occasion ;being the cele-
bration of their =golden wedding. ,A
sumptuous dinner was served to a
large 'number of friends, pretty place
cards marking where each ne would
sit. The excellent and beautiful cake
was made by the bride of fifty.yeers.
The dinner, during which Victrola
music was enjoyed, was brought to a
cleat, with ice creatn after which toasts
Were proposed, During the evening
music was furnrshed. by the Tebbutt
orchestra, and a 'family choir. The
bride played on the accordion, with
piano accompaniment. The family
