the Horne and School Association of

forth met in Jowett's Grove, Bayfield,
on Tuesday afternoon June 19, for the
dual purpose of forming a county or-
ganization and also enjoying a social
:rite together. After supper, brief
addresses • were given by the follow-

DEATH OF SISTER.
Mrs, R. (FI. Sproat received word of
the death of her sister, Mrs, Lawrence
Moffatt, at Regina, S,ask., on, Satur-
day, June 30th. Mrs. Moffatt was
formerly ,,,Miss Gertrude Caldwell,
daughter of the late Mr, and Mrs.
John Caldwell of liensall,
Mrs. Moffatt had been in pant
health for severalyears, and on Fri-
day underwent an , .operation from.
which she did not rally. She was
born 41 years ago in Tuckersmith,
near. I-Iensail, and lived 'there till her
marriage twenty years ago to Mr.
Moffatt, son of the late John Moffatt
of Kippen. 'Mr. and' lairs, Moffatt liv-
ed at,I(ippen a number of years and
the past eight in the West. Besides
her husband she leaves six children:
Lloyd, in Prince' Albert, Sask.; and
Myrtle, Russell, Lorne, Jack, and
Harvey at home; also three sisters,
Mrs, Leonard McConnell, Dilke,
Sask.; Sade .in Vancouver and Mrs.
R H, Sproat of Seaforth, and three
brothers Edward, Lawson, Sask.;

The death occurred on Sunday of
Mr. William Reid at his home on. the
4th concession of Stanley. Mr. Reid
had been sick -for the past three weeks
with influenza, then pneumonia devel
oped. The funeral from his late resi-
dence to Clinton cemetery was held c.
Tuesday. He leaves to mourn his
loss five daughters and one son: Wil
Ilam, at home; Mrs, Taylor and Mrs.
Miller of Clinton, Rarhael, Minnie and.
Gertrude at home.

a picked team from Ailsa Craig, Park-
hill and London at Grand Bend ort.

score. The game was very exciting..

was 2-1 for Ailsa Craig. However, er-
