phy passed away about five o'clock
Tuesday afternoon. It was a great
shock to the community on Monday
morning to learn of her serious con-
dition, and sincerest sympathy is ex-
tended to 'the bereaved.

The Council met on Monday, April
16th. Members all present. Minutes
of last meeting read and confirmed.
The Engineer's report on the Gardin-
er Drain was read, considered and
adopted. The -Clerk was instructed to
prepare a By -Law to provide for the
collection of the assessments in one
payment. Tenders for the Norris
Drain contract were called for and
there being only one tender received
the Council decided to defer the let-
ting of ,the contract until the next
meeting of the Council on May 21st.
Orders were issued on the Treasurer
amounting to $453.13. The Council
then adjourned to meet again on Mon-
day, the 21st day of May, at 1 o'clock
in the afternoon,
