Minutes of last meeting read and confirmed. The Engineer's report on the Gardin- er Drain was read, considered and adopted. The -Clerk was instructed to prepare a By -Law to provide for the collection of the assessments in one payment. Tenders for the Norris Drain contract were called for and there being only one tender received the Council decided to defer the let- ting of ,the contract until the next meeting of the Council on May 21st.
