According to the constitution the
memories are to be perpetuated by a
circulating letter and an annual re-
ttnion. All wishing to be included in

After the banquet a short watch night

Her depth oeeurred after
ti short illness 'at the home of her
son, Mt,.Ben, Rathwell, Goderich tn.
Mrs, Rathwell, who before her mar-
riage was Ida Jane Chambers, had
celebrated her 84'th birthday in Oc-
tober. Born in Ireland, she had come
to this country after the death of both.
her parents and accomp'anied by her
sister Mary and. brother Sanfue1, 'who
both 'predeceased her, settled on The
Bayfield road, two miles west of
Varna. About 65 years ago she was.
united in marriage to Mr. Rathwell,'
also of Stanley, and they went to live
on the 'farm in Goderich township
where her death took place, but mtov-
ed closer to the river a few years latter
and some years afterwards they mov-
ed north again, Her husband prede-
ceased her 16 years ago. Four daugh-
ters and three sons remain to ,mourn
the sad loss of their mother; Mrs.
Arthur Stephenson, near London;
2lrs. Geo, Snarling, Brussels, at pres-
ent in California; Mrs, Finlay Stew-
art, 4th concession of Stanley, and
'Mrs. 1.1. Plumsteel of Clinton; John
of Varna, Sam at Waterford and Ben,
'Goderich township.
The funeral tools place on Sunday
at 2 pan, from her late residence: to
IBayliell cemetery, Rev,' Mr, Pen-
rose, Varna, conducted the service,
Owing to the terrific storm on Sunday
