decorated with a 14 branch can-
delabra which formed an arch
above baskets of white gladioli
banked with ferns,
'Escorted to tate altar by her
lather the bride chose a colonial
wedding gown of candlelight silk
faille. The rounded neckline wau
trimmed in self material of laurel
leaf design encrusted with pearls.
Identienl trine was repeated at the
waistfeaturing lily point sleeves
and a fitted bodice with impress-
ed pleats forming a bustle back
and flowing to a chapel train. Her
linger tip veil of French illusion
was secured by a Queen's crown
of crystals and pearls, The bride
carried a white Bible topped with
deep pink rosebuds and wore the
engagement ring her grand-
mother, the late Mrs. Wrn. Chat'+
ters, wore 60 years ago. The
bridesmaids, Mrs. John A. Mc-
Gregor and Mrs. Douglas E, Mc-
Gregor, twin sisters of the bride,
wore sapphire blue peau-de-soie
in sheath design with overskirts
and carried white lace hesitate
arranged with white pompon
mains and deep pink rose buds
and white feather headdress.
Miss Janice Middleton, London,
as junior bridesmaid, was also
dressed in blue with white em-
broidery and white ribbon head-
dress. Little Nancy Middleton
was flower girl in white organdy
and white ribbon headdress. Both
girls earried small baskets et
flowers identical to those of the
bridesmaids. James Middleton
was his brother's groomsman and
William R. Charters, brother of
the bride and John Middleton,
brother of the groom, ushered the
guests. Mr. John Caldwell play
ed wedding music and accompan-
ied the soloist, Miss Dorothy Par-
ker as she sang "I Love You
-ereenly" and "I'11 Welk Beside
Yon." A reception was held in the
church parlours where the bride's
mother received the guests wear-
ing silk organza sheath dress with
self trite in Elizabeth blue and
bone accessories. The groom's
mother chose a. blue silk brocade
sheath with matching jacket.
Roth mothers wore a corsage of
pink delight roses. The yonug
couple left later for a honeymoon
in Washington and eastern states.
For travelling the bride chose a
white sculptured bengaline sheath
dress with three-quarter length
coat with raspberry Coloured ne-
cessorles and a corsage of pink
rosebuds. On their return the
temple will reside in London.

The public is invited to attend a hearing
of briefs concerning the present and
future role of Ontario's tounst industry.
At the same erne, the Committee invites
submissions from the floor. We request
that 6 copies of the brief be submitted at
least one week prior to the hearing.
The purpose of the committee is to
ands to formulate rects of ecommendations
concerning:
1. The relative effectiveness of current
government assistance to participation
in the tourist industry.
2. An evaluat.on of strengths and weak-
nesses within the tourist industry itself.

honored at three miscellaneous
showers during the past two
weeks. Former neighbors on the
Mill Road, Mrs. Wilson McCart-
ney and daughter, Georgina, en-
tertained, Georglne reading the
address, 'Mary Annie McLean
carried in the gifts, Mrs, James
Middleton of St. Thomas held a
shower at her home when Mar-
jorie was the recipient of many
lovely gifts, Kippon United
Church Ladies held a shower on
Friday evening, Augus 31st, Mrs,
John R. Cooper chairing the short
programme. Jean McNaughton
gave an instrnnhental. Margaret
pllgie gave reading, Mrs, Ross
Ilroadfoot played the piano and
led in community staging. The
address was read by Phyllis Los -
tell. Marjorie was invited to a
nicely decorated chair and the
lovely gine presented her, Site
thanked. everyone at all showers
and invited n11 to her trousseau
tea.

at which many of ivlyra's friends
were present and everyone enjoy-
ed a lovely diluter. Betty read an
address to Myra and she was pre-
sented with many lovely gifte
and she replied fittingly and
thanked everyone for their
thoughtfulness,
