The bride wore a floor length
gown of white silk organza over
taffeta and net, trimmed with
lace. The fitted bodice buttoned
down the back and was styled
with a sabring neckline with
short lace sleeves. A wide band of
scalloped lace trinmred the over-
skirt. The headpiece was an or-
ganza pillbox adorned with rhine-
stones attached to a shoulder
length bridal illusion veil, She
carried a bouquet of orchids,
white baby mums and ivy cas-
cade.
The matron of honour, Mrs.
Jack Crozier, r. 2 Seaforth, and
the bridesmaids, Miss Jane Fer-
guson, Miss Betty Gillett and
Miss Shirley Marriott, all of Kit-
chener, wore identical gowns of
Caribbean blue silk chansone
sheath with overskirt and
cumberbund. Their headpiece was
a coronet of shasta daisies with
attached bouffant white veil. The
flowers were shesta daisy cen-
tres, blue stephanotis with ivy
cascade. The little flower girl,
Jean Marriott of Mount Forest,
was dressed- in a similar manner
with similar flowers.
Gordon Clement of South Por-
cupine was groomsman and the
ushers were 'Gordon Morasco of
Stoney Creek, William 'Webb of
London and John Lolly, Toronto,
Mrs. John Cardno, Seaforth, .pro-
vided the wedding music and the
soloists were Beverly and Bud
Boyes, Clinton,
A reception was held at the
Legion Hall, the bride's mother
receiving in a dress of beige lin-
en sheath with Italian silk top,
snatching jacket and beige acces-
sories. The groom's mother was
gowned in a blue lace dress with
matching jacket and white ac-
cessories.
For the wedding trip, the bride
donned a white linen sheath
green floral top and matching
jacket with white and green ac-
cessories and wore an orchid cor-
sage.
The bride is a graduate of
Stratford Teacher's College and
the groom is a graduate Civil
Engineer of Waterloo University,
They will reside in Sudbury,
Guests were present from

Farmers To Build
Processing Plant
Alex. McGregor, Seaforth area
farmer, announced on Wednesday
Plans for a farmer -owned meat
processing plant. Mr. McGregor
is Huron county chairman of Far-
mers' Allied Meat Enterprises,
the organization building the
plant. Many local farmers are
Fame members,
The processing plant, the first
of a proposed series of seven, will
be located on a 10 -acre farm near
Galt. The property fronts on
Highway 401, just east of the
cloverleaf of 401. and Highway 97,
and has excellent advertising ex -
Arrangements have been made
for the purchase of the property,
from the owner, Arnold Rife.
Water drilling will start immed-
iately, the local Fame chairman
said. .

The plant will be the largest of
the seven and will perform a com-
plete processing, curing and can-
ning operation, It will handle live-
stock by-products and later will
complete meat processing opera-
tions begun in some of the other
projected Fame plants. Tho seven
plants will be located throughout
Ontario.
Designers of the plant are Tor-
onto architects, Ouasick, McMur-
try and Fisher, in consultation
with packinghouse design special-
ists, Troy and Stalder, Omaha,
Nebraska.
The consultants have -conferred
since April with the Ontario Wat-
er Resources Commission on de-
sign of the sewage system and
now have drawn up plans for final
approval.
Tenders for construction will
be called soon.

HOWARD HAYS
Howard Hays, retired Senior
Appraiser of the Customs of Can-
ada, at Windsor, died there on
Monday. Born in McKillop town
ship near Seaforth in 1896, be
spent several years of his bey
hood in Goderich, before his par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. James Hays,
returned to Seaforth.
Enlisting in 1914, he served
with the Artillery in France and
was wounded at the battle of
Paschendale, He served over 40
years as a Customs Officer and
retired last December, He will be
buried with military' honors from
the Anglican Church, Tecumseh
Road, Windsor, on Thursday. Ile
is survived by his wile, the for-
mer 'Violet Truman, a soy Scott
on the teaching staff of Windsor
p(ib110 schools, a, daughter Nancy
(Mrs, Henry Albert) of Plymouth,,
Michigan, two brother's, Dr. Ar-
chibald flays, Fort Erie, Ontario,
and iMagiatrete Glenn 'trays, God-
erich, He was predeceased by a
brother, William, sone three
years ago, Interment, will be in a
Windsor cemetery,

Seaforth Minor Baseball As-
sociation, who sponsors three
teams in Seaforth, will hold their
annual Booster nay in Seaforth
on Saturday, July 7111.
Association officials, 'including

year, and expressed appreciation
to the public for the co-operation
they have received in. the past
and know they will receive on
Saturday,- It is anticipated that
all minor ball players canvassing
on Saturday will lie in uniform
as a means of identification.

FIRST INSTALMENT
The first instalment of the Sea -
forth town taxes was due on
June 30. Town officials on Wed-
nesday said figures were not:

paid and unpaid.
Routine Business at
July Meeting
Only routine business was dealt
with by McKillop council at their
meeting on Tuesday.
All members were present ex-
cept Councillor William Dennis
who is on a trip to the West.
General accounts were passed

CHARLES DOUGLAS GIBBLE
Charles Douglas Gibble, known
as Charles Douglas, passed away
in Seaforth last Thursday, June
28th. Ile was a former resident of
Dublin where he had a small
stand. He was believed to have
been a native of England. There
are no known survivors.
The funeral was held on Satur-
day at the Box Funeral Home.
Service was conducted by Rev.
H. Donaldson. Interment was in
Baird's cemetery,
He spent the past five years in
a nursing home here.
