forth, who has passed his final
year in Medicine at the Univers-
ity of Western Ontario, Gradua-
tion ceremonies take place this
week.

The General Meeting of the
ITI:W met last Thursday evening
with the president. Mrs. P'unge
presiding, Reports from the sup-
ply and social con., stewardship
and recruiting sec. were read.
The stewardship sec gave an in-
teresting reading, Mrs. Claire
Vincent and Mrs, Tont Allen eon-
tributed a duet. Jeffery Shad
diek favored with a piano selec-
tion. The programme nom. show-
ed a film 'The Harvest" The
hostess served lunch,

and children of Toronto were
weekend visitors with Mr, and
AIrs. Nelson Lear,
Miss Vine. Knox of Toronto vis-
ited with her parents over the
holiday.
Mrs, Eva Doagan of Walton
spent the weekend. with Mrs,
Townsend,
Peter Brown el Windsor visited
with his uncle, Mr, Ewan who is
still a patient in Clinton hospital
but improving and expects to be
home this week.

Mrs. Howard Snail of Clinton,
Mrs. Flarold Livingstone's bro-
ther and wife, Mr, and Mrs, J, M.
Steel of Toronto visited with the

A very successful auction sale
of the household effects of the
estate of the late Mrs, Martha
FIoughton was held on Saturday.
The property was not sold.
Mr. and Mrs. James Miller,
Bruce and Betty Anne attended
the anniversary services at Mun-
ro United Church on Sunday, and
visited with Mr, and Mrs. Ken
Scott.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Laing and
family attended the anniversary
services at Munro on Sunday.
The May meeting of the Marian
Ritchie Evening Auxiliary was
held at the home of Mrs, Gerald
Carey with Mrs. Gordon Scott
presiding. The scripture lesson
was read by Mrs, Gordon Laing,
followed with prayer by Mrs.
,Scott. Thirteen members answer-
ed the roll call by naming a
Presbyterian Missionary. Two
visitors were present, The secre-
tary gave her report, During the
business period, quilt orders were
discussed. For her topic Mrs.
Carter Kerslake read two articles
from the Record, closing with a
poem, "Reflection." Mrs. Lloyd
Miller and Mrs. John Templeman
favored with a duet "How Great
Thou Art." A portion of the
:Study Book was reviewed by
Mrs, Robert Laing and Mrs.
Lloyd Miller. The meeting closed
with a hymn and the Lord's
Prayor.
KIPPEN
The Kippen Y.P, anniversary
will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday,
May 27th with Rev. A. H, Day -
nerd, M.A., of Staffa, as guest
speaker. Guest soloist will be Mr,
Harry Lear of Londeshoro.
Mr, and Mrs. Stewart Beattie
of Wingham, Mrs. Edgar McBride
and Mr, Lorne McBride, attended
the McBride -Wedge wedding at
Exeter on Saturday,
Mrs, Wm. McLachlan and Mar-
lene returned from a 3 weeks mo-
tor trip, visiting friends and rel-
atives in Red Deer, Alta„ and Vic-
toria, B.C.
Mrs, Dowson, who visited 10
days in Marlette, Mich., returned
home Sunday and is visiting a
few days with her daughter, Mrs,
