playing host to Staffa. Elimviile,

St. Andrew's United Church. Kip -
pen on May 16th at 8.30 p.m. Mrs.
Thomas Hough of Stratford will
be the guest speaker. The 10th
roup are to plan the lunch, the
Kippen group will act as hostess,
the 4th group the programme
committee and the 12th group to
do dishes. Don't forget the dist-
rict annual at Hensall, May 10th
and the bake sale May 19th.

given Wednesday evening, April
13th at Kippen United Church
honoring Ruth Turner (bride
elect). Mrs. Robert Taylor as
chairman opened the programme
with all singing "0 Canada" with
Mrs. Ross Broadfoot at the piano.

by Gwynneth Hendrick; duet by
Anne and Debra Stephenson. ac-
companied by Mrs. Stephenson;
contest conducted by Marion
Turner, Mrs. Robert Taylor and
Mrs. Wm. Consitt; sing song
with Mrs. Ross Broadfoot at the
piano; two numbers on the
guitar by Grant and Kenneth
Jones. airs. Taylor invited Ruth
to sit in a nicely decorated chair
on the platform. The address was
read by Marion Turner and the
gifts brought in by Brenda and
Janice Turner. Ruth thanked all
for the gifts and the programme
came to a close with the singing

the United Church Women. Fol-
lowing the supper Linda Thomp-
son led in a sing -song. A toast
was proposed to the Queen by
President, Marie Riley; Karen
Allen, a toast to the Church with
Re, H. A. Funge replying, Nor-
ma, McDougal to the Mothers,

toast was proposed by Mrs. Don
McNall and replied to by Nancy
Caldwell. The guest speaker,
Miss Betty Marsh of Auburn gave
a very interesting talk to the
Girls. Barbara and Bonnie Snell
tavored with a duet, The Old
Rugged Cross. followed by two
interesting readings by Mrs. Don-
ald Sprung, The banquet was con-
cluded with the singing of Taps.
On Sunday morning the choir
of the United Church presented
an impressive Easter Cantata
"The Glory of the Cross" with
selected readings from the Gos-
pels. The sanctuary was banked
with Easter lilies placed in mem-

secretary and treasurer and 15
