Mrs. Everett Beuermann (vice -pies.) called the meeting to order and gave the Invocation. Hymn 86 was sung. Mrs. Laverne Godkin favored us with a lovely piano solo, "Bless This House." Hymn 102 was sung. The topic from the study book was taken by Mrs. Wm. Roo and was en- titled Old and New Canadians. She used the question and an- swer method of dealing with the question of, Should there be immigration. Mrs. Don Dennis followed with a story called "Chrysanthemum Transplanted" which was the story of one Jap- anese family on the B.C. coast whose lives were completely dis- rupted after the attack on Pearl Harbor. It showed how often the innocent suffer with the guilty. The minutes of the last meeting were read and roll call was answered by 14 members. In- vitations were received from the following societies: Walton on April 30th at 8.30 p,m.; Moncrief on April 19th -at 2 pan., and Win- throp on April 25111 at 2 p.m This is the CGIT girls Thank - offering meeting with a tea and bazaar. It was decided to have a speaker for our Easter Thank - offering sleeting, Good used clothing for the hale is to be brought to the May meeting. Proceeds of the pot luck supper amounted to $59. Among the pupils of piano of Miss Audrey Priestap of Mitchell who teaches at the community hall here, played at the music festival in Mitchell, the following were winners: Jeanne Elligsen, first in Grade 6 piano class; Mar- garet Elligsen, first in Grade 1 piano class; Joanne Eilligsen and Paul Horan, first In piano duet; Beverley Sholdice, second in Gr, 4 piano class; Margaret Elligsen also received the GouId's WI $2 award and the Toronto -Dominion Bank award for highest mark in junior piano, Miss Wendy Wolfe is again con- fined to Sick Children's hospital, Toronto.
