Mr. and Mrs. John Whyte and
Andrea of Oshawa spent the
week end with Mrs. W. L. Whyte
and family and visited Mr. W. L.
Whyte, who is a patient in Scott
Memorial Hospital, Seaforth. Last
Wednesday evening Mr. Whyte
had the misfortune to have his
hand become caught in an auger
on his farm, and when three fing-
ers of the left hand were badly
mutilated.

spent Saturday in London.
Mr. and Mrs, Cree Cook and

New Bridge
Three municipal drain bylaws
Were presented to Hallett coup-
oil for passing. They are the Bry-
ant Drain, the Jenkins Drain, and
the Deer Drain. They were all
passed end the 'clerk instructed
to 'call 'for tenders on Bryant and
Doer Drains, A -petition from Mr
Arte . Duizer and others for 'a
municipal drain was received by
coimcil and the clerk was ins-
tructed •to forward it to Jamas

survey and report,
The clerk was also instructed
to apply to the Dept. of High-
ways for a supplementary bylaw'
approval for' construction of a
bridge locally known as the Mid-
degeal Bridge; situated on lot 10,
