Whyte and family and visited Mr. W. L. Whyte, who is a patient in Scott Memorial Hospital, Seaforth. Last Wednesday evening Mr. Whyte had the misfortune to have his hand become caught in an auger on his farm, and when three fing- ers of the left hand were badly mutilated. BAYFIELD Mr. and' Mrs, E. A. Feather- ston returned home on Friday after spending a week with Dr. and Mrs. A. C. Chapman at De- troit. Mrs. Elizabeth Knuchey is a pa- tient' in Clinton Public Hospital. Her many friends hope to see her home again soon. Mr, and Mrs. J. Sturgeon and daughter, Preston, are visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Sturgeon. Frazer Fellows, Riverside is spending his holidays with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. F. Fraser, turned to St. Clair Shores, Mich„ Dr and Mrs, J. M. Atkinson re - after spending a few days at their home. Mr. and Mrs, Fred Hendrick, Birmingham, Mich., spent from Friday to Sunday at their cot- tage, Mrs. M. L. Toms received wOrd on Friday morning that her brother Walter Johnston had passed away on Thursday even- ing in London. He is also sur- vived by his wife and two child- ren, Windsor. Mr, Johnston had operated a bakeshop in Bayfield a number of years ago, and was burned out and moved' to Wind- sor, Mr. and Mrs, Jas. Ferguson, of, London, were at their cottage over the weekend, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Stewart spent Saturday in London. Mr. and Mrs, Cree Cook and Mr, and Mrs. G. W, Cunningham, Clinton, came last week and have opened their cottages for the' summer months. Miss Ann. Drouin; Detroit is spending a vacation at her cot- tage, Mrs. Harry Bauer, Waterloo, is at her cottage for a few days. Mr. and Mrs, Wm.
