The Stewards of the Christian
Home met in the basement of St,
Peter's Lutheran Church with
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Fischer, Mr.
and Mrs. Ford Dickison and Mr.
and Mrs, Mervin Hodgert in
charge of devotions, program and
lunch. The topic was "Rules for
Christian televiewing", and there
was a good discussion on this.
Miss Diane Henderson, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. John Henderson
favored with several 'solos. Ford
Dickison showed movies. During
the business it was decided to
try and arrange some programs
to raise money to help pay for a
floor in the church sheds for ice
next winter, any donations for
this project would be gratefully
acknowledged by any member of
this group. This group are also
paying the way for a girl and boy
to attend Edgewood camp and
the Sunday School are doing the
same. All those interested in go-
ing to Camp are to sign a paper
and put it in a box ' and four
names will then be drawn.

sored a "Talent Night" in the
basement of St. Peter's Lutheran
Church with a good attendance.

Hibbert Little Lassies
The Hibbert Little Lassies held
their third and fourth meetings
at the home of Mrs, Carter Kers-
lake. The meeting was opened.
with the 4-H pledge followed by
the roll call and minutes. Mrs.
Kerslake explained that thawed
fruit loses Vitamin C if allowed
to stand. The girls helped to pre-
pare an oven Steamed fruit pud-
ding with a Strawberry sauce and
a fruit salad.
The fifth meeting was held at
the home of Miss Kaye Worden.
At this meeting Mrs. Kerslake
told us about fruits for appetizers,
fruits for the. main meal and the
fruits for dessert, She explained
that it was best to freeze a pie
before baking. Next meeting to
be held at the home of Miss Mary
Ellen Doyle.

The April meeting of Trinity
Club was held on Monday evening
at the home of Mrs, Helen Cobb.
The meeting opened with a .pray-
er by Mrs, Len Pounder followed
by a reading given by Mrs, J. B.
Higgins, 16 members answered
the roll call, The treasurer and
secretary reports were read by
Mrs. Wm. Parker and Mss. R.
Simons, Plans were made for a
Mother's Day Tea on May 11th.
A. F. Scotchmer Jr. showed very
interesting pictures on telephone
courtesy. The meeting closed with
prayer followed by lunch served
by Mrs. Cobb.

The Faber families held a sur-
prise miscellaneous shower Sat-
urday evening at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Coleman
of Seaforth for Russell Faber and
his bride-to-be, Miss Anita Men-
ard of Grand Bend. Entertain-
ment for the evening consisted of
a reading, contests and euchre.
The gifts were presented by Lin-
da Coleman. Bobby Coleman and
Patsy Faber. Russell and Anita
made a suitable reply. A delicious
lunch was served. Those attend-
ing from a distance were Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Menard of Grand
Bend, parents of the bride-to-be

izing their team for the coining
season, also are getting their new
ball diamond in shape.
