Mrs. I3, Smalldon was in charge of the meeting which opened with the singing of hymn 490. Mrs, Roy Williamson read the scripture taken from St. John 1; Mrs. Smalldon offer- ed prayer and Mrs. Wm, Coutts read a poem, Mrs. San Van Vliet sang a solo and another poem was read by Mrs. M. Baan; Mrs. Roy Williamson took the topic and Mrs. Corlett rendered a solo, Mrs. Jim Williamson at the piano, Mrs. Nelson Reid gave an inter- esting talk on the African Student Foundation and hymn 25 was then sung. Minutes and corres- pondence were read and approv- ed. At the close of the Meeting a successful bazaar wass held and a delicious lunch was served by the hostess and the lunch com- mittee. A social half hour was enjoyed by all, The sixth meeting of the Wal. ton Willing Workers was held on March 31, 1961 at 2 pan, at the home of Anne Blake, It Wes open- ed with' the singing of the Old Rugged Cross. This was followed by repeating the 4-H Pledge, We then had the secretary's report which was followed by roll call, We decided to have the next meeting at Teresa Ryan's home at 2.30 Apr. 11, 1961, During the Meeting we had a discussion abort our Record books, Linda Somerville and Linda Bryans are to supply the lunch for the next meeting, Roll Call. Why I chose the colour for my dress. Home assignment: Make a sample of the zipper, stay stitch and hem for record book. Work on with dresses. The April meeting of the Wal- ton W. I. will be held Thursday evening Apr. 27th with Mrs„ F,. Walters and Mrs. Les Oliver as conveners, Roll call, payment of. fees and a gift for your Sunshine Sister, A pot -luck supper will be held at 7 pan, Mrs, Howard Har- ris of For•dwieh, District Pres, will install the new officers for the coming year. Mr, and Mrs. T. Dundas spent Sunday with friends in Wellesley. Mr. and Mrs. A. Anderson, Nora and Pauline Thamer attended the wedding reception Saturday at Brodhagen for Mr. and Mrs. Paul McCool of Goderich. Mrs. McCool is a niece of Mrs. Ander- son. A successful euchre sponsored by St, Patrick's Church CWLwas held in the parish hall Friday night, About 25 tables were play- ing and prizes for high scores were awarded to Mrs, James Mc- Quaid and Frank Cronin. A soc- ial evening followed and lunch was: served by the executive. Mrs. Joseph McConnell of Sea - forth was guest speaker at the April meeting of the Catholic Women's League in the parish ball, She gave a very instfuctive talk on the League and her asso- ciation with it and the spiritual and temporal graces it meant for Catholic women to be members. She was introduced by the presi- dent, Mrs. Fergus Horan. Mrs. Holland and Mrs. Dean gave the secretary's and treasurer's rep- orts followed by Mrs, Dan O'- Rourke with the spiritual; Mrs. Fergus Stapleton with the press, Mrs. John Van Giffen with educ- ation and Mrs. Frank Kistner with membership. On April 26th a high mass will be offered in honor of Our Lady of Good Coun- sel which all members are re- quested to attend.
