Mrs. Daniels is the youngest sister of the Preszcators. They leave next week for France. Mr. Daniels is a Corporal in the air- force. The annual church meeting of Constance United Church was held last Wednesday afternoon and all societies gave favorable reports. Ronald Jewitt and Jim Jamie- son of Stratford Teachers' Col- lege are practise teaching at Wingham and Clinton radar school. HULLETT Eleven adults met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Howatt to discuss a national Price Policy. The majority are opposed to a price policy as we believe it very difficult to enforce it without the farmers feeling that they are los- ing their freedom. The idea of quotas and other curbs sounds too much like Russia. We are afraid we will have too much dif- ficulty in disposing of our sur- pluses with our standard of ing so much higher than in Eur- ope and Asia. McKellar gave the finan cial report, and thankyou notes were read. During the .business period, committees were named to arrange for a social evening with a potluck supper and crokin- ole to be held on St. Patrick's night. Several quilts are to be quilted and a travelling apron is on its way. Mrs. T. Laing con- ducted a Bible quiz. Mrs, Jas. Miller and Mrs. T. Laing were named 'as lunch committee and Mrs. T. L. Scott and Mrs. Lloyd Sorsdahl, program committee for the next meeting. Lunch was ser- ved by the hostess assisted by Mrs. Grace Scott and Mrs. K. Delegates from Goderich, Bel - grave, Blyth, Auburn, Hensall, Seaforth and Clinton attended the Huron Presbyterial annual meeting of the W.M.S. of the Presbyterian Church in Canada, Tuesday in St. Andrew's Presby- terian Church, Clinton, The president, Miss Eva Som- erville, was in charge with the morning devotional period taken by the Clinton Auxiliary, The secretary, Mrs. Harvey Erskine, gave her report as also did the treasurer. Mrs. A. McCon- nell. These were accepted. Reports of the various secre- taries of the different depart- ments were given, and all showed a marked increase in member. ship and donations. Miss Barbara Woodruff, dea- coness of Knox Goderich, was chosen delegate to conference for girls' work to be held at Sarnia on April 10th. Mrs. O. G. Ander- son, of Belgrave, was appointed to represent Huron Presbyterial at the Synodical to be held at Sarnia on April 11, 12 and 13. The afternoon session was op- ened with a short devotional per- iod in charge of Mrs. Donald Haines, Mrs. Wilfred Sanderson and Mrs. Alvin Leatherland of the Auburn Society. Mrs, D, I. Lyddiatt of Hullett had a frightening- experience when a youth stole $15 from the house and ran off after threatening her with a stolen rifle.
