President, 3lrs, F, Horan opened the meeting with prayer and a hymn. The Secre- tary read the minutes of the last meeting also the correspondence. The Treasurer, Mi.'s. E. Dean read the financial report. Mrs, Fergus Stapleton gave report of the Deanery meeting at Strat- ford tratiford in October. The committee shipped a box of used clothing to the Sisters of Service, Toron- to. also to Rev, Father Flaherty in Western Canada. Arrange- ments were discussed for serv- ing a Holy Name Communion lir ,akfast in the Parish Hall on F:u,day, Nov. 20. Rev. Church, St. Oa- therines, on Saturday, Nov, 12th at 3 o'cloelt, of Margaret Mary Whitfield, daughter of Mit and Mrs. Orval Whitfield of St, Cath - mines, and Thomas Frederick McClellan, son of Mr, and Mrs, F. McClellan of St. Catharines.- Rev. 13, Wyman officiated assist- ed by Rev. J. Klassen. The bride was given in marriage by her fa- ther and wore a ballerina length gown of white brocade fashioned on princess lines, scooped neck- line and long pointed sleeves. The full shirt with pressed pleats at back for extra fullness and small bow at back waistline, Her headpiece was trimmed with se- quins, held a shoulder veil. She wore a gold necklace with seed pearls and amethyst, a family heirloom. She carried a white prayer book with pink sweetheart roses, white carnations and ste- phanotis, Miss Linda Jean Whit- field, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor, wearing purple French lace Over silk taffeta with scooped neckline and three-quar- ter sleeves, purple feathered head bands. Her flowers were nose- gays of white carnations and pink sweetheart roses. Miss Cathy Jansen of St, Catharines was the' bridesmaid and her costume was 'the same as maid of honor. Best man was Mr. Norman Davies of St. Catharines, Usher was Bobby McClellan, St. Catharines. Organ- ist was Mr, K, Elliott of Niagara Falls, The wedding breakfast took place in the memorial hall adjoining the church, decorated with bronze and white mums. For a honeymoon to Toronto the bride wore a white wool sheath dross, brown mouton coat, mink collar, brown and green access- ories, red carnation corsage. The couple will reside at St, Cathar- ines.
