oria Hospital, London, whore she
underwent a major operation.
She was accompanied to London

by his wife and family,
The Brodhagen Band played in
Monkton on Sunday for Armist-
ice Memorial Service at the Lu-
theran Church,
A shower was held in the Com-
munity Hall here on Wednesday
evening for Mr, and Mrs. Robert
Chaffe, and on Friday evening
the 60th wedding anniversary
celebration was held for Mr. and
Mrs, Henry Bennewies of Mitch-
ell, they wore presented with a
chesterfield and chair and tri -
light lamp from relatives, neigh-
bors and friends, and also a kit-
chen set from the family. Mrs,
George Rock read the address on
behalf of the relatives, friends
and neighbors and Mrs. Lorne
Mueller react the address to her
parents, on behalf of the fancily.
Dancing Wahl enjoyed to music
supplied by Archie Mann Drehes-
tra. Lnzteb was served in the
basement.

Mrs, Reuben Rapien, Mr's. Martin

for Lutheran World Relief. It was
decided to have the Bell telephone
disconnected In the parsonage
during the absence of a pastor,
as this group pays for it. Thank -

Hume" for Mr, and Mrs, Henry

Mrs. Caroiine Miller will ob-
serve her 95th birthday on Sun-
day, Nov, 13, she resides at the
home of her son Irvin and Mrs.
Miller, RR 1, Bornholm, she had
lived in the village for many
years.
Miss Ifaren Leonhardt, daugh-
ter of Mr, and Mrs, Mervin Leon-
hardt was confined to Stratford
Ilospital last week.

their first got -together on Mon-
day evening at the haute of Mr.
and Mrs, Lew Hicks and celebra-
ted the 40th wedding anniversary
of Mr. and Mrs. Hicks, They were

newlyweds have moved to reside
in Sebringville, They spent the
weekend with her sister, Mrs.
Bill Smith and Mr. Smith, Moore-

Mrs. Dalton Hinz on Sunday.
Mr, and Mrs, Harold Mogk and
Mr. Geo. Mogk spent Sunday in
St. Thomas at the home of Mr,
and Mrs, Carman Mogk. Mrs, G.
Mogk, who has bean there for a
few weeks returned hone with
them.
Mr. and Mrs, Donald Ahrens,
Hamilton, with Mrs. Chas. Ah-
rens for the weekend.

London with her mother, Mrs.
Elizabeth Rock on Saturday,

Party and dance in the Commun-
ity Hall here last Tuesday even-
ing, Euchre winners were Mrs.
Lavern Wolfe and Bari Pfeifer.
Sippel's Orchestra provided mus-
ic for dancing.
At the married couples' meet-
ing last week, Mr, and Mrs. Reu-
ben Buuck were presented with
a step-up table and lamp from the
group to help replace furniture
lost in the fire in their home last
winter.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Boyd and
family who had been residing
with Mr. and Mrs, Lloyd Puschel-
berg have moved to a house East
of Willow Grove.
Messrs Wilbur Hoegy and Paul
Boyd are on a hunting trip.

meeting and expressed a wish
for all to attend the meeting of
General W. A, on Dec, 1411. The
blue bags are being called in for
the December meeting. The pre-
sident then took charge reading
"To those who sleep in Fland-
ers". Final arrangements were
made for the bazaar and bake
sale on Nov, 12, Guest speaker
for the evening was Mrs. Dalrym-
ple of Lrgmondvillo, . telling of
her trip to England, also showing
several pictures of London,
