Mr. and Mrs, Wilbur Hoegy and family, and Miss Joyce Rock and Mr, and Mrs. Russell Sholdice and Beverley attended a shower for Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mollwain (Au- drey Hackwell) at the Legion Hall, Seaforth, on Friday evening. A dance in the community hall here was well attended on Friday evening, Elgin Fisher's Orchestra provided music, and proceeds to go towards the hall, Mrs. Hillehreeht has been con- fined to her home on account of illness. Mr. and Mrs. George Young of Stratford aud Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith of Seaforth with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Diegel. Mr. and Mrs, John Rinn and Johnny of Kitchener with Mr, and Mrs. Lavern Wolfe on Sunday. Miss Joan Shortreed and Mr. Ray Beuerman of North Bay with Air. and Mrs. Manuel Beuerman. Mrs. Lloyd Prueter underwent an operation in Stratford Hospit- al. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Miller were pleasantly surprised at the Community Hall on Sunday even - lug when members of the Cham- ber of Commerce and their wives, neighbors and relatives gathered to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. Progressive euchre was played, prizes went to Mrs. Norman Bennewies, Mrs. R. Shol- dice. Ed Scherbarth, Mervin Dietz and Ken Smith read the address. Geo. Rock and Wilfred Ahrens made the presentation of electric frying pan, set of wrenches and cash. Lunch was served. The fall thankoffering meeting will be held Nov, 10th commencing at 2 5111 and having as our guest speaker, Mrs. H. Donaldson of Seaforth. Walton group will serve at this meeting. A nominating ' committee consisting of Mrs. 11, Brown and Ml's, A, Searle were appointed to bring in the slate of officere at the next meeting. Plans were completed for the fowl supper to bo hold Nov. 2, The Bible contest was taken from 2 Corinthians and conducted by Mrs. F. Walters. Lunch hostesses were Mrs, H. Brown, Mrs, W. Bewley and Mrs, H. Travis. Family Night A successful family niglht was held in the Walton community hall last Friday evening.
