The program opened with welcome
remarks by the C.G,I.T, leader,
Mrs. M. Lamoncl who also proposed
a toast to the Queen. Miss Marlene
Dow in addressing their leader
paid glowing tribute to her splend-
id guidance and Ieadership, and
also react a suitable poem in her
honor.
Lanyards were presented to
Joyce Dow, Dorothy Scott, Carol
Howe and Joyce Kerslake who
are completing their third year.
All the girls received chevrons
for projects accomplished during
the year,
Mrs. Gordon Laing who is as-
sistant leader was accompanist for
the singing of several hymns and
also several members by the girls.

tives.
Mrs. Emerson Kyle and Jim en-
joyed a few days last week at
Southampton beach. Mr. Emerson
Kyle who was on business in the
area, joined bis wife and son.
Mr. Edgar McBride, 62 years, of
Kippen, met with a painful accid-
ent Wednesday of last week on his
own farm in Hay township, He was
taking down the elevator when he
slipped and the elevator fell on
him, causing a fracture of both
legs. He was removed by ambul-
ance to St. Joseph's hospital, Lon-
don. Dr, J. C. Goddard of Hensall
attended.

mer neighbors at Kippen.

Mr. Philip McKenzie realized a
successful sale of his farm on Fri-
day, Aug. 26th. He leaves Tuesday
for his new home in the west.

allowed to run at large in
the Town of Seaforth dur-
ing the period ending Sep-
tember 30, 1960.
(Note: The bylaw prov-
ides penalties for infrac-
tions. Upon a conviction, the
owner or harborer of a dog
is liable to a fine not exceed-
ing $50, o1' to a jail term not
exceeding 21 days.).
