purchased. Mrs. Torrance Dundas
was chosen as a delegate to the
NV. I, convention at Guelph in
September. Mrs. Herb Williamson
and Mrs. George Williamson co -
conveners for Agriculture were in
charge of the second portion of the

On Friday evening a miscellan-
eous shower was held for Marilyn
Smith prior to her marriage on
Sept. 3 to Bob Doerr, The shower
was held at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Jerry Doerr, The rooms were
beautifully decorated with pink
and white streamers with the bride
being seated under a gaily decor-
ated mnbrella. Contests and games
were conducted. Clues to where
the gifts were hid were sung to the
bride by the ladies, Lunch was
served by the hostess,
On Friday night a stag party
was held at the home of Bruno
Breaker for Bob Doerr, whose mar-
riage is to take place next Satur-
day to Marilyn Smith. Bob was
presented with money.

eral Coach Works of Canada Ltd.

The system will provide fire
protection for Ge.000 square feet
of building, including two plants
and a 5ter 1ge warehouse,
Assureing to W. 1'. Smith, gen-
eral manager of the company,
the system will effect a consider-
able reduction in the cost of in-
surance for the plant, which has
been
in a poor risk category uegory be-
cause of its woodworking and
painting operations. There has
been one fire at the factory in the
last 1e years.
The water tower which will
take another month to complete,
will be fed by the village water
works system. It's estimated 1t
will take two to three weeks to
fill the 28 -foot diameter tank.
