Church, on Monday of this week,
which was preceded by a pot luck
supper -prepared by the ladies.
The Rev, R. a MacMillan and
Mr. G. 0. Vais acted as chairmen,
Mr. Vale stated that "in spite
of the fact that the congregation
was without a minister for the
first four montha of the year, the
work was maintained by the faith-
fulness of its members". Ms Vais
expressed his sincere thanks for
the warm welcome which was ex-
tended to him and to Mrs. Vats
upon their arrival last May and
for the splendid' co-operation
which has prevailed ever since.

the efforts of the Board of Man-

the several projects that have
been undertaken and completed
during the past year.
Mr. E. Munn, the treasurer, was
pleased. to report that Carmel
Church has exceeded its mission-

cellent reports were heard, from
the Board of IVIanagement, Mis-
sion Band, Church School, Teen.
Age, Bible Class, Young People's
Society, Arnold Circle, WMS, La-
dies' Aid and choir.
Both the fellowship and these
very heartening reports . at the
Annual Meeting gave us all a re-
newed inspiration to set sights
for higher goals in 1960, and with
the guidance and example of our
Minister and his wife, greater
things can be accomplished in
this awning year for the work
abroad and at home.
Three members from the Board
retired and were replaced by Mr.
B. Beaton, Mr. 11. Hyde and Mr. J.
Dougall.
After the singing of the last
