the male quartet from Kitchener.

ing white sheets and 'pink baby
,mums 'with 'pink Delight roses.
The mother of the bride chose
brown Ticatina .crepe with beige
accessories and a corsage of taw-
ny gold roses. The groom's 'moth-
er chose navy blue crepe with
matching accessories and • a cor-
sage of Killarney roses.
The 'bride and groom left on a
motor trip to California. They will
reside .at Kitchener. Guests were
present .from Toronto, Kitchener,
Wellesley, New Hamburg, At-
wood, Zurich and ,Seaforth.

church basement Sunday morning
with Mee. .W Bewley in charge.
She based her talk on African
children, God levee a11, black or
white. The soripture was read by
Ilelen. Searle and 111)ary Bewley
led in prayer. 'Sherrill 'Craig gave
the minutes, followed by the 1959
treasurer's report by Alexin Wil-
liamson. The leader summarized
.19.59 work and the sending of
white gifts, At the February me-
eting Linda Bevans will be pian-
ist, Barbera Bryans -will read the
scripture and Carol Wiibee lead
in 'prayer.

Mrs. M. Humphries has return-
ed home after visitiing her daugh-

Mr. and Mrs. Rae Nelson and
:family of Vancouver have return-
ed home after spending the past
ten days with Mr. and Hrs. Earl
Watson and other relatives.
James Clark is at present a ,pa-
tient, in Clinton hospital where
he anderwent an operation on
Monday morning.
Mins. Fern Patterson is at pre-
sent visiting 'with her 'daughter,
Mrs. Jerry Cardiff and Mr. Cardiff.
The January 'meeting of the
WMS of Duffs United Church
met In the 'church basement on
Thursday, Jan, 7th at. -2. p.m. Rev.
W. M. Thomas 'opened the meet-
ing by thanking the ladies of the
church for their prayers, thought-
fulness and kindness. We are glad
to say Mrs. Thomas is feeling' a
great- deal better. Hymn 356
"Take my life and let it be" was
sung with Mrs. ID• Watson at the
piano. Rev. Thomas conveyed ap-
preciation to the ladies of the W.
A. and VMS for their very suc-
cessful year and the co-operation
of the leaders.
The installation of officers took
place with 'Rev. Thomas in charge
and prayer was offered.
Mrs. Wilbur Turnbull opened
the WM'S .meeting with 'call •to
worship and Mrs. 17. •Mitoheld read
the scripture taken from St. John
4: 7.21 followed with prayer by
the leader. The roll call and 'pay-
ing of fees, also minutes of last
meeting were read 'by Mrs, R. Mc-
Michael. 'Mrs. el. Graig gave the

LOUIS EBERHART
Louis Ebemhart, 78, of Seaforth,
died .suddenly Saturday at Isis
home. Mr. Bberhart. was born 4n
klibbert and received his early ed.
=Mien la Tuckersmdth. In 1901,
he married Charlotte Gook, at
Brucefield, and moved to 'Seafmmh
about 50 years ago. The late Mr.
Eberhart was a thresher -tor a
number of years, 'having one 'of
the first ,gasol'ine+powered traction
engines do this part of the coun-
try. He was secretary of the Ont-
ario Tlvreshermen's Association at
one' time. Since that him, he op-
erated a biackemith and ,machine
shop, and a ;chopping sill, In the
early 1930s, .he was a town coun-
cillor. Besides being a ;member of
First Presbyterian Church, he was
also a member 'of the Canadian
Order of (Foresters. Mr. I3berhamt,.
was the east surviving member of
the faintly. Besides his wife he Is
survived by one daughter, Hrs.
Edgar (Irene) Barrett, Burling-
ton, and ,two grandchildren. The
funeral 'was 'held Monday at 2
p.m. at the G. A, `Whitney funeral
home, Seaforth. Rev. D. Leslie
Elder officiated and 'burial was In
,11'levitlandbank' cemetery.
