BRUCEFIELD Brueefield Minister Will Leave Rev. and Mrs. Sydney Davison have announced their intention to leave Brucefield United Church at the end of December, and will make their home at Leamington. lfr. Davison will be assistant Minister and will be active in the work of young people and visiting the sick, Mr, and Mrs, J. K. Cornish cel- ebrated their 40th wedding anni- versary on Thursday, Nov. 26th. On Sunday, Nov. 22nd the im- mediate family held a, turkey dinner at the Johnston Hotel, Zur- ich. On Thursday they held open house in the 'afternoon and even- ing, over 140 friends and neigh- bors called to congratulate .the bride and groom of 40. years. Their daughter, MTs. Roy Brock attended the door while Mr. and Mrs, 0ovaidsh received the guests. Those pouring tea in the .dining room in the afternoon were Mas. Jas. Hill, Stratford, and 'Mrs. Mary Haddugan, Exeter, while Mrs. Wm Scott and Mas. Ivan Whiteman served. In the evening Maas. Lyle Hill and Miss Nettie Sinclair poured tea, and fire. R. McGregor and Mre. J. Cornish served. Those assisting in the kitchen were 'Mars. Ross Scott, Mrs, Simon 'McsK•enzie, Mrs. Har- vey Taylor and MTs. Lorna Wil- son, MTs, Orland Johnston. Mr. and wire. Dennis; gents' high, Bob Humphries; low, Bob Houston; lone hands, Lawrence Ryan. The lucky chair ,prize was• won by Mre. D. Fraser and 'the' couple having the anniversary nearest Nov- 29th was Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Ryan. Community singing was led by Mrs. David Hackwell and accompanied by Miss Audrey Hackwell: Mr. Campbell Wey acted as master of ceremonies for the following program. A delicious lunch was served with a three tier wedding cake gracing the lace covered table.
