evening when 25 relatives gather-
ed to do honor to Miss Joan Me-
Clinohey, niece of the hostess,
bride -elect of :Sept, 26th. Games
and contests were enjoyed, Pink
and white streamers, a decorated
trellis and bride's chair, along
with floral arrangements, made
an effective •decoration. The ad-
dress was read by (Miss Ruth Mc-
Clinehey, presentation of gifts by
Mies Grace Stephenson, Mrs. Don
Kyle assisting, The bride-to-be
expressed her appreciation for
the lovely gifts, after which a
dainty lunch was served by the
hostess.
The September meeting of the
Kippen WMS and WA was held
in the schoolroom of the church
on Sept, 10th with Mrs, Pearson
Charters and Bib's. Jos. Lostell as
hostesses. Mrs. V. Alderdice was
in charge of the worship service
And her Scripture theme was
Christian Moral Witness, Mrs.
John Anderson presided for the
remainder of the meeting. Roll
call was answered with a verse
from the Book of Romans. There
were 19 members and three visit-
ors present. ,Sunshine report was
given by Mrs. PI..Jarrott, who
read thank -you cars from Mrs.
'Ross Love and Mrs, R. McAllist-
er. An invitation was accepted to
attend the tilankoffering meeting
of Bayfield United Church on
Thursday, Oct. 1st at 2 o'clock.

piano instrumental. Mrs. Russell
