McCreath gave the sec- retary's report. An invitation to Ethel on Aug, 12th was accepted. Mrs. Alvin McDonald reported on the convention at Guelph. The treasurer, 'Mrs. T. Dundas, re- ported a balance on hand of $127.28. Mrs. Ronald Bennett and Mrs, 'Wilbur Turnbull were co -conveners for the second part of the meeting, Mrs. Bennett gave current events and Mrs. Turnbull gave the motto on Ma- king new friends and keep .the old, the new are silver, but the old are gold. Mrs. Bennett intro- duced the guest speaker, firs. L. Glasgow of Brussels, who showed slides on a recent trip to Ireland. These slides were interesting and colorful. Courtesy remarks were given by Mrs, W. E. Turnbull, Lunch hostesses were Mrs. Roy Williamson, Mrs. hen McDonald, Mrs. Harvey Craig, Mrs. Bert Williamson, Mrs. Les Oliver and Mrs. Margaret Humphries. The regular meeting of 17th and Boundary group of Duff's Un- ited Church was held at the home of Mrs. Geo. Williamson with 13 members and 1 visitor present. The president opened the ineet- ing.Mrs, Harvey Craig read the Scripture followed by prayer by Ml's. Wm. Coutts. Mrs. Donald Buchanan led in devotion. Lunch was served by the hostess and Mrs, Jim Williamson, MTS. Ray Williamson and MTS. T. William- son. The sacrament of the Lord's Supper will be observed in Duff's United Church next Sunday mor- ning. Ron Ennis has returned home after spending two months in To- ronto, Mr. and Mrs. L. Kirkby of Lon- don.' visited with. relatives over the week end. Mr. Wayne McMichael of Wind- sor spent the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert McMichael. Any owner or harborer of a dog who allows it to run at large can be sum- moned into court. The fine in a case of this kind could be $50.00 and costs.
