GILCEIRIST Harold James Gilchriet, 57, of 4251 Neff Road, Detroit, died on Saturday at his home there after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife, the former Alice Chesney of Seaforth. • He was born, and educated in Scotland, and came to North America in 1919. He was .employed by the Detroit Edison Co., and later be- came an investigator for the Mi- chigan Humane Society, He is survived by his wife; by one bro- ther in Michigan, and by :three sisters in ;Scotland. The body was at the Box funeral home, Sea - forth, where service was held on Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. Dr. James Semple of Egmondville United Church officiating. Burial was in Maitlandbanlc - cemetery. HARRISON REUNION The 24th annual Harrison re- union was held at Harbor parit, Goclerich, on June 13th, There was an attendance of 72. The di- rectors eerved the natal dinner of cooked ham, hot Potatoes and beans. The direct- ors were instruoted to buy meat for the noon meal as in previous year. 1960 will be the 25th anniv- ersary and the directors are to make ;it a banner reunion, TERN TOWN NEWS (Ellen Gorwill) There were about 125 teen agars .attending the dance in the arena Saturday night. Records were spun by Gany Williams and (Don Wright. We would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Clare Relit for chaperoning the dance. Saturday night is .a joint Teen Town dance with Clinton and Seaforth sharing the proceeds. Music will be supplied by Stew- art Baird and his Collegiates. Admission is 50c and 75c. Non- memibers muat be accompanied by a member. There are six teen town societies invited to this dance, • POUR H BEEF CALF OWE Health of the Herd was the topic discussed when Dr. Turn- bull of Seaforth addressed :the members -of :Seaforth and Brus- sels 4H Beef Calf Clubs at the home of Ephraim Haase, Winth- rop, Wednesday evening, A class of mature Hereford crave and a two year old .heifer were judged. Reasons for placing were taken from a number of members, Dan Rose, summer assistant with the Dept. of Agriculture, gave the of- ficial placing. The minutes of last meeting were read by Bill Strong and the bus trip on July 9511 to the ,OAC, Guelph, was ,dis- missed.
