Christ young people met and
were entertained to a hay ride.
On their return they enjoyed a
weiner roast and soft .drinks.

program followed.

home Sunday since being in

home of his daughter and son-in-

Eyre's home Friday night was a
great success and largely at-

BRUCEFIELD
Frederick Rathwell, 61, of RA
1, Brucefield, died suddenly on
Sunday froth a heart attack. He
had farmed all his life in Stanley
township. Surviving are his wife,
the -former Hazel Elgie; son,
John, Lindsay.; daughters,, Mrs.
J. R. Lazenby, Belleville; Mrs.
D. N. Pintney, Long Lac; broth-
er, Harold, Arizona, and sister,
Mrs. Albert Ilorne', Seaforth.
The funeral was held Tuesday
afternoon at the Bonthron fun-
eral home, Hensall, and burial
was in Baird's cemetery.

CLINTON SHOW JUNE 10TH
Clinton spring show will be
held in the
communist y * park in
Clinton on Wednesday, June 10,
with classes in all types of live
stock being exhibited and judg-
ed. Ferris wheel for the children,
and games of chance on the mid-
way, will ,provide the opportun-
ity of fun for everyone. Approxi-
mately $2,500 will be paid out in
prizes.
There is a special draw for a
power lawn mower and a floor
polisher, with tickets on sale the
day of the fair.
The Clinton Lions Club is op-
erating • the games and refresh-
ment booths, and members are
donating their services entirely
to the fair. The junior farmers
as usual are operating a refresh-
ment booth and all proceeds go
toward the fair.
The evening horse show will
include four horse tandem hitch
carriage teams, gentleman's turn-
out, best matched and best dress-
ed teams. Seaforth District High
School Cadet Band will perform.
New classes in cattle and
•swine are •introduced this year
for public 'school children from
the townships of Hulled, Goder-
ich, Stanley and Tuckersmith.
