Williamson gave the motto on
"We are nearer to God in the
garden than anywhere else in the
world," Mrs. L. Scrimgeour of
Blyth entertained the ladies with
a humorous reading. Mrs. R. Dal-
rymple of Egmondville gave a
very interesting demonstration
on foam' rubber. articles, Airs. PI,
Williamson thanked the speaker
and presented her with a gilt on
behalf of the Institute Lunch

Mr's, E. Stevens was 11051055
for the Walton group on Wednes-
day evening, May 27th. The pres-
ident, Mrs, Jim Clark, opened the
meeting. Mrs, E, Mitoliell read
the Scripture lesson and Mrs.
Clark followed with comments.
Prayer was offered by Mrs. %Iar-
vey Brown and a poem entitled
"Advice" was read by Mrs. Clark.
Mrs. Torrance. Dundas gave an
Interesting topic based on Psalm
28, which is called "The Nightin-
gale of Psalms." Mrs. Herb Tra-
vis read the minutes of the pre-
vious meeting and called the roll
which was answered with the
name of a missionary. Mrs. Mit-
chell and Mrs. R. Bennett gave
the financial reports. - Members
were reminded of the meeting at
Winthrop on June 3rd and Sea -
forth June 23rd. The coppers will
be brought in at the June meet-
ing. Lunch hostesses were Mrs.
Earl Watson,, . Mrs, E. Stevens
and Mre. 3, Clark.
The regular monthly meeting
of the 17th and Boundary Group
of Duff's United Church was held
at the home of Mrs. Maud Leem-
ing with 11 ,members and 1 vis-
itor :present. Mrs, H. Smalldon
presided. Scripture reading was
taken by Mrs. Roy Williamson,
and Mrs. H. Smalldon read 'a.
poem. An invitation was receiv-
ed from the ladies of Winthrop
United Church to attend their
bazaar on June 3rd. A success-
ful bazaar was held at the close
of the meeting. Lunch was serv-
ed by the hostess, Mrs. Small -
don, Mrs, J. Van Vliei, Mrs. E.
Uhler, Mrs. G. Williamson.
Mrs. Maud Leeming is a pat -
lent in Scott Memorial Hospital.
CARR COLLIDE
Two :motor car accidents oc-
curred last week on Wednesday
about noon, in each case 'a high
school student ,being (involved.
No one was injured. Damage to
one oar was •$175 and to two
others $85 each. Both accidents
were investigated by local pol-
ice.

The May mooting of Zion Wo-
matt's Association was held at
the home of Mrs'. Wilfred Annis,
Mrs. Lloyd Barker presiding,
substituting 101 the president,
Mrs. ,Ross Popper. The devotional
period opened with the theme
Hymn and a scriptural reading
by Mrs, Lorne Aikens, Mrs, Law:
001100 Hannon offered comments
on the lesson. The minutes of
the previous meeting were read
by Mrs: Wilfred Annie .and a
poem was recited by Mrs, Law-
rence Barker, Au impressive
story entitled "A Present for 112y
• Mother" was read by Wise. Dal-
ton Malcolm, Mrs. Lloyd Barker
led in prayer. Following a brief
business session presentation of
a gift was made by the Woman's
Association to Mr. and Mrs, Reu-
ben Aikens in honor of their
recent wedding anniversary,
Lunch was served by the hostess
and her assistants. A quilt was
completed during the afternoon.
The monthly meeting of the
Dublin Women's Institute was
held at the home of Mrs, ,Tack
Burchill with 17 members and
five visitors present. The roll
call was answered by "My Worst
Cooking Mistake." Mrs. Harold
Pethick gave an Interesting ac-
count of the 57111 annual meeting
held at Carlingford United
'Church. Mrs. Peter Petersen,
senior health nurse of Perth
county, was the guest speaker.
She outlined her work and spoke
on health. Mrs. J. Diehl present-
ed a humorous recitation. Mrs.
Joseph Dill gave household hints.
Plans were made to entertain
Staffa, Gould's and Glen Gowrie
W.I. branches at Staffs. hall on
June 16th. Lunch was served by
the committee in charge.

the Municipal Council of the Town of Seaforth,
I hereby proclaim that in view of the present
rabies situation no dog shall be allowed to run
at large in the Town of Seaforth until further
