EGMONDVILLE
The Spring Tharikoffering of
the WMS of Egmondville United
Church was held on April 1 with
Presbyterians and United church-
es of Seaforth and Duff's, Mc-
Killop, as guests. Our president,
Miss Francee IIouston, presided
and opened the meeting with a
poem. Words of welcome were
given by Miss Houston, followed
with the worship period and
prayer. Psalm 729 was read in
unison lead by Mrs. L. Hammond.
Mrs. J. McIntosh read the scrip-
ture and prayer by Mrs. Ham-
mond. Offering was received by
Mrs. M. Nott, Mrs. R. McGonigle,
Mrs. L. Strong and Mrs. E.
Papple. A duet was sung by 'Car-
olyn Hammond and Nancy Pep-
per which was enioyed by all.
Mrs, A. Pepper then introduced
our guest speaker, Mrs. R. Mc-
Michael, who spoke on "Let there
be light." She spoke of the differ-
ent lights in life: light Of day.

lights in different countries such
as Africa, India, where mission-
aries are being sent by us. She
said "There are missionaries
everywhere who are spreading
light. We are the oil that helps
the missionaries burn their light
with our money, sending clothing,
etc. We can all make the lights

The W.A. of Constance U.C.
held their regular meeting on
.April 1 in the basement of the
church. Yrs. Lorne Lawson open-
ed the Wal with a poem. Prayer
by Mrs. Lawson. Minutes were
read and roll call taken ,with an
article suitable for the bazaar.
The parsonage fund was, dealt
with, Roll call next month will
be an apron for bazaar. Meeting
was given over to the WMS.
Mrs. Borden Brown presided
over the WMS. Mrs. W. L. Whyte
read the Scripture and gave com-
ments on the 'Scripture read. fol-
lowed with prayer by Mrs. Brown
and roll call was a verse of Scrip-
ture pertaining to Easter. A word
oe welcome was given to all the
visitors by Mrs. Brown, (Business
was dealt 'with in regards to sup-
ply allocation. 'Copper contest
leaders are Mrs. Geo. Hoggart,
Mrs. Wilmer G1ousher. Items for
the bale are to be brought in at
May meeting, The, invitation
from Walton was accepted and
members are to remember the
date, April 15 in the evening.

It alive all year. Mrs. MacGregor

tion and repair, -according to engineer's

fill and two catch basins.
