Dear Mother and Dad, -It isn't every day that families are given the .opportunity to celebrate a 55th wedding anniversary. Today we, your children and your , chit. dren's children are. most happy to do so. Mere words cannot ex- press adequately our joy in your long and happy married life. We can never thank you enough for giving us the gift of life and bringing us up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. No doubt as children will, we some- times rebelled but as we grew older and more mature it was easy enough to see that Father did know :best and the things we learned at Mother's knee sound instruction and beneficial for our future. Many a change has taken Place since you two were wed and we are sure you could tell many an interesting tale. One thing you didn't know .55 years ago, •that this day we would be celebrating -here. When all ral- ly round we make quite a family crowd. And you can bet we're proud and happy to be here. IN we should search both far and near dor finer folk or friend more dear, all trails would lead. us home to Dad .and Mother. So. while we all are here we would like to say a prayer for the ones who made it possible this happy time to share. May God's blessing rest upon you; may you have good health and cheer; may the • Good Lord watch between us whether far apart or near; may you have more anniversaries, each one bet- ter than before, and we will all gather round you -to wish you many more. - e• d 1- c1 0 e at 1 a 1, s d 3r • • Y JOHN HENRY STOREY The .death took place at his home at Walton early Sunday of John Henry (Storey in his 83rd year.
